Which New Cars From Stellantis Will Arrive In The Brazilian Market By The End Of 2024?
The brand has already launched the Fiat Titano, Jeep Compass, and Commander Blackhawk. Soon, the Citroën Basalt will also hit the market. Additionally, the launch of the New Peugeot 2008 has been confirmed by the brand. According to Stellantis’ president in South America, Emanuele Cappellano, the company’s goal is to become a leader in the sector in the region.
The new Peugeot 2008 will be the first SUV made by Stellantis in Argentina. With an investment of over 270 million dollars, the model is part of Stellantis’ new cars and will be based on the CMP platform.
As the media has already anticipated, the second generation of the car will have a completely revamped visual, while following the line of the other products from the brand. The new Peugeot 2008 has already been seen in testing in Brazil. Additionally, it is expected to hit the market with a Stellantis 1.0 turbo engine with up to 130 horsepower and 20.4 kgfm of torque.
With a larger front grille inspired by the 508 sedan, the Peugeot 2008 also features a new design in the LED headlights and daytime running lights. The Peugeot 2008 is expected to arrive in Brazil in the second half of 2024.
New Cars From Stellantis From The C-Cubed Project
In a press conference, the brand stated that the goal is to maintain and grow in all the brands it has. Thus, three products from the brand produced in Porto Real (RJ) will receive investments to be made under the CMP platform.
They are: the Citroën Basalt, C3, and C3 Aircross. These new cars from Stellantis are part of the C-Cubed project, which has been in development by the brand for about three years. After launching the C3 hatch and the C3 Aircross, the new addition is the Citroën Basalt, which is expected to hit the Brazilian market in the coming weeks.
The coupe SUV will have the same doors as the other models in the C3 family; however, the rear hatch will bring a distinct proposal. The trunk and taillights will also gain exclusive designs. In terms of dimensions, the expectation is that the new Citroën Basalt will arrive with a wheelbase similar to that of the Aircross, at 2.67 meters.
In terms of mechanics, the new SUV will have a 1.0 turbo flex engine delivering 125 horsepower with gasoline and 130 hp with ethanol, plus 20.4 kgfm of torque on both fuels.
Jeep Compass Is Part Of The New Cars From Stellantis That Will Arrive In Brazil
As part of Stellantis’ strategy to maintain its hegemony in the Brazilian market, Jeep also launched the 2025 versions of the Jeep Compass and Commander this month. While the Jeep Compass has not changed much in its appearance, it received updates in terms of versions, engine, and equipment, lower prices, and even enhancements in after-sales service.
The model arrives with two new configurations featuring a 2.0 turbo engine with 272 hp. The prices for the Jeep Compass range from R$ 179,990 to R$ 279,790.
Finally, the first midsize pickup, Fiat Titano, debuted in March this year to compete in the entry-level categories of the sector, such as Ford Ranger and Chevrolet S10, for example. Imported from the Nordex factory in Uruguay, the Fiat Titano is based on the Peugeot Landtrek, which has been adapted for its debut in the Brazilian market. Betting on cost-effectiveness to capture a share of the market, the Fiat Titano arrives with a price of R$ 219,990.
