Stellantis Launched The New Generation Of The Ram 1200 In Mexico, a model that blends heritage from the Fiat Titano and technology from Mitsubishi. This Launch Reinterprets The Fiat Titano, adding an exclusive grille and the Ram logo while maintaining strong ties with Mitsubishi, which produced the first generation of the Ram 1200, according to the website Quatro Rodas.

History And Evolution Of The Stellantis Model

Between 2016 and 2019, the former Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) signed an agreement with Mitsubishi to sell two mid-size pickups, the Fiat Fullback And The Ram 1200, in the Middle East, Africa, and some Latin American markets. These pickups were essentially restyled versions of the Mitsubishi L200, with minimal changes to the grille and logos.

Now, Stellantis Revives The Ram 1200 Name In Mexico, utilizing its agreement with Changan. This agreement transformed the Kaicheng F70 pickup into Peugeot Landtrek and Fiat Titano, recently launched in Brazil. However, unlike these, the new Ram 1200 Is Manufactured In China.

Technical Specifications And Engine Of The Stellantis Model

The New Ram 1200 Is Available In Single And Double Cab Versions. All versions are equipped with a 2.4 Turbo Gasoline Engine With 210 Hp And 32.6 Kgfm, an older Mitsubishi engine, now produced under license in China. Consumers can choose between manual and automatic transmissions, both with six gears, and rear-wheel drive or 4×4.

Despite not using the 2.2 Turbodiesel Engine present in the Fiat Titano in Brazil, the Ram 1200 maintains good load capacities, supporting up to 1,210 kg in the single cab version and 1,050 kg in the double cab version. The towing capacity is up to 3 tons.

Equipment And Versions

The Stellantis Ram 1200 Offers An Extensive List Of Equipment, Especially In The Laramie Version, The Most Complete. This version includes six airbags, stability control, keyless entry, 360° view cameras, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, 10-Inch Multimedia Center With Android Auto And Apple Carplay, vinyl seats, 18-Inch Alloy Wheels, and a light sensor.

The Prices Of The Stellantis Ram 1200 Vary By Version. The Tradesman Version With A Single Cab Costs 444,900 Mexican Pesos (Approximately R$ 136,000), While The Laramie Version With A Double Cab Reaches 668,900 Mexican Pesos (About R$ 204,000).
