The maritime services company TechnipFMC has even more optimistic projections for the global market in 2023. It announced the signing of two new contracts with the oil company Equinor for the provision of offshore services. They will be used in the subsea production projects of the oil company in the Irpa and Verdande Fields, located in the Norwegian Sea. The agreements are valued between US$ 75 million and US$ 250 million.

Equinor Signs New Contracts for Using TechnipFMC’s Offshore Services in Subsea Production of the Irpa and Verdande Fields in the Coming Months

The multinational oil company Equinor took another step in its quest to optimize its operations in its subsea production project in the Norwegian Sea.

It signed two important new contracts with TechnipFMC for the use of the company’s offshore services in its fuel exploration projects.

The first of these covers the provision of subsea production systems from Equinor for the Irpa Field, located in the Norwegian Sea.

Thus, TechnipFMC will provide services for the installation of subsea trees, control systems, structures, and connections.

Jonathan Landes, President of Subsea at TechnipFMC, commented on the new contract, celebrating the signing.

“This project will utilize our standardized production system, designed to meet the specific demands of the Norwegian continental shelf. The award demonstrates Equinor’s confidence in our technology, quality, and delivery capability. We are very pleased to continue supporting them,” he said.

New Contracts Will Ensure a Strong Addition to the Company’s Business Portfolio in 2023

The second of the contracts signed with Equinor provides for the use of TechnipFMC’s offshore services in the subsea production of the Verdande Field, also located in the Norwegian Sea.

According to the companies, the new agreement provides for the installation of subsea trees and structures, control systems, connections, tools, and installation support.

“We are very pleased that Equinor is once again trusting our technology,” Landes emphasized.

Although the exact value of the new contracts with Equinor has not yet been disclosed, projections are valued between US$ 75 million and US$ 250 million.

Thus, the new agreements with TechnipFMC ensure the industrial company a significant addition to its business portfolio for the year 2023.

The company’s offshore services will positively contribute to Equinor’s subsea exploration in the Norwegian Sea over the next few months.
