According to CNI, by 2025, around 9.6 million people need to be trained for activities in the industrial sector; technological solutions mitigate heavy labor and eliminate bottlenecks in manufacturing plants and construction sites.

The Need for Qualification in the Brazilian Industry

According to the Work Map 2022-2025 from the National Confederation of Industry (CNI), Brazil needs to qualify 9.6 million workers for industrial occupations. Of this total, 2 million require initial training to fill new vacancies or replace dismissals. Furthermore, a study by CNI reveals that five out of ten industries face a lack of qualified workers.

To address this labor shortage and attract new professionals, especially young people, to the industrial sector, technology emerges as a strategic solution. Túlio Cerviño, co-founder and CEO of Trackfy, believes that technology can enhance productivity and worker well-being, making the industrial environment more appealing.

The Importance of Industry 5.0

Industry 5.0 promotes a digital transformation that combines technologies to increase productivity and improve the quality of life for employees. This approach is essential, especially considering that the average age of Brazilian workers is close to 40 years, according to IBGE’s Pnad, which directly affects the industrial and construction sectors, representing more than 30% of Brazil’s GDP.

Cerviño highlights that the industry needs to “do more with less,” as it is facing difficulties in hiring for positions such as mechanic, bricklayer, boilermaker, welder, electrician, instrument technician, and industrial painter. These roles are less appealing to young people, who prefer careers in digital spaces and applications.

Technological Solutions for the Industrial Sector

Trackfy, a startup founded in 2020, develops technological solutions for real-time monitoring and data analysis in industrial complexes and construction sites. Utilizing technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), data analysis, and intelligent algorithms, the company offers devices that, attached to helmets and badges of employees, transmit information to a cloud platform.

These technologies help industrial managers identify bottlenecks in productivity, detect safety risks, and implement improvements that positively impact workers’ lives. Industrial hubs in Camaçari (BA), Cubatão (SP), and Mauá (SP) already use Trackfy’s technology, as well as companies in the construction sector.

Cerviño states that Trackfy’s technology eliminates productivity bottlenecks and improves the safety and well-being of workers. “The unprecedented visibility provided by Trackfy demonstrates that optimizing the company’s results goes hand in hand with improving workers’ lives, and we are still just at the beginning of what we envision for the market,” reiterates the CEO.

Technology is an indispensable ally in addressing the challenges of the qualified labor shortage in the industrial sector. By investing in innovative solutions, industries can increase productivity, improve working conditions, and attract new talent, ensuring a more sustainable and competitive future for Brazil.
