Concerned about the current situation of the Port of Areia Branca – RN, President Dinoá presented the action plan to release the Terminal and was quite positive. Confident that the necessary actions have already been taken, Dinoá relies on the help of the Ministry of Transport and the National Ports Secretariat. The Salt Terminal of Areia Branca needs to get back to work soon as it is extremely important for the economy of the State of Rio Grande do Norte, the president adds.

Besides Dinoá, the meeting in Brasília included:
- Valter Casimiro (Transport, Ports and Civil Aviation);
- Edson Duarte (Environment);
- Luciano Evaristo (President – Ibama) and the Director of Environmental Licensing (Ibama);
- Felipe Maia (Federal Deputy – DEM-RN);
- Ogarito Linhares (Director of the Port Grant Department of the National Ports Secretariat);
- Uirá Cavalcante de Oliveira (General Coordinator of Environmental Management of the Secretariat).
This was not the first time the Salt Terminal of Areia Branca was restricted. The Ministry of Labor and Employment, due to the finding of irregularities by fiscal auditors of the Port and Waterway Labor Mobile Group (December 2017).
