Toyota's relocation plans regarding headquarters changes had been announced a few months ago and had San Bernardo workers worried that the productivity center would be closed.

Toyota, a company that has been in Brazil for over 60 years, stated that it is interested in removing its headquarters in the city of São Bernardo and taking it to the interior of São Paulo, where it will have a greater range of professionals. However, the company took the opportunity to declare, through a press conference, that it intends to continue with the production center in São Bernardo open, even with the change of center. I.e, will keep all existing positions and create new jobs.

The changes to the headquarters are expected to take place by November 2023 and the process involves some bureaucracy regarding changes in space and the situation of employees.
