The Newly Launched Toyota Land Cruiser SE, With Seating for Seven Passengers, Enters the Market Promising a Revolution in the Segment. With Its Exceptional Range of More Than 900 km per Charge, This Model Stands Out as an Innovative and Efficient Option.
The Toyota Land Cruiser has undergone significant changes, becoming more efficient and now gaining a new member in the family: the Land Cruiser SE, a new seven-seater SUV and the first fully electric model in the lineup. Presented as a concept, the Japanese automaker has yet to reveal all the details about the model.
New Toyota Land Cruiser SE SUV Will Deliver 999 km of Range
According to the Japanese automaker, the new SUV will have three rows of seats, a capacity to carry up to 7 people, and will offer “high-torque electric steering.” With a more futuristic appearance, the Toyota Land Cruiser SE goes against the retro and boxy style, which is a hallmark of the Land Cruiser line.
The new seven-seater SUV will measure 5.13 m in length, 1.99 m in width, and 1.7 m in height. The wheelbase is 3 m. For comparison, the utility vehicle will be larger than some popular models in the sector, such as the Mercedes EQS SUV and the BMW iX. Rumors indicate that the model will boast an impressive 999 km of range per charge. This number has not yet been officially confirmed by the manufacturer.

The electric propulsion will also make the new seven-seater SUV quieter in urban environments and on the road, according to Toyota. Despite an off-road “pedigree,” the electric vehicle seems to be more geared toward urban environments, as it features a low ground clearance, large wheels, and low-profile tires in the released images.
Design of the New Toyota Land Cruiser SE
On the sides, the creases are well defined and the wheel arch trims further emphasize the muscularity of the Land Cruiser SE Concept. The highlight also goes to the contrasting beige roof that adds an extra dose to the style. At the rear, the Toyota SUV’s taillights are interconnected and formed by a wide LED strip across the vehicle’s width.
The name Toyota is prominently displayed again. Inside, the automaker emphasizes that this is a new seven-seater SUV, made possible by the wheelbase of 3.05 meters. In a statement, the manufacturer stated that the concept meets various needs of the world and provides high-torque driving performance.
For now, this is all that has been disclosed by Toyota, as details about engines, power, price, or battery have not yet been released. More information about the Toyota Land Cruiser SE will be revealed during the Tokyo Motor Show. The event started this Thursday (26) and will run until November 5.
Toyota Announces Lunar Vehicle
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of Toyota’s CALTY Design Research studio, the automaker is developing a pressurized rover in collaboration with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). The Baby Lunar Cruiser concept aims to combine the futuristic capabilities of an interplanetary exploration vehicle with the robust design language of the original FJ40 Land Cruiser 4×4, according to the Japanese automaker.
Based on this model, the electric vehicle will be controlled by dual joysticks, moving via motors in the wheels. These wheels are fitted with airless tires, and the augmented reality (AR) dashboard is expected to present live videos from a full range of cameras and LiDAR sensors. The interior of the model can also be modified based on the mission.
The lunar vehicle’s seats will also be adjustable, and loading at the rear is assisted by a split boot. As it is a concept, no further technical specifications are available yet; however, CALTY is optimistic about the model’s future.
