Brazilian Multinational With 80 Years In The Market Is Among The Best In The Capital Goods Sector And Its Decarbonization Vision Is Highlighted In The Publication

Joinville, July 2022 – A specialist in solutions and components for the transportation, agriculture, infrastructure, and energy generation sectors, Tupy plays a crucial role in the decarbonization journey of its clients and processes. The actions in this and other fronts, as well as the Company’s future vision, secured a prominent position in the Capital Goods category of the Best of ESG Guide, a partnership between Exame and Ibmec, which evaluated over 200 registered companies.

For Tupy, it is recognition that its initiatives are on the right track. In 2021, 70% of the total invested in R&D was dedicated to sustainability-related projects, such as battery recycling, hydrogen engines, new alloys, and materials.

In the Company’s growth strategy, decarbonization is essential and is even one of the competencies to be leveraged by the acquisition of MWM, which has solutions dedicated to the consumption of natural gas, biogas, and the use of biomethane.

The social and governance aspects were also evaluated by the publication and contributed to the positioning.

“In addition to aligning with our strategic planning, our sustainability journey is based on the priority themes identified in our Materiality Matrix. To lead this journey, we invest in our employees and in relationships with our value chain, as we believe that collaboration is key to sustainable development,” highlights Fernando Cestari de Rizzo, CEO of Tupy.
