UFPE Opens Free Course for High School Students and Teachers

The Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) is providing a unique opportunity for high school students and teachers: a Free Programming Course. With a total of 140 available spots, this initiative aims to train those interested in the fundamental concepts of the Python programming language. Registrations are now open and can be made until October 10, through the online platform.

Training in Python: An Initiative of PET-Computer Science at UFPE

The course is organized by the PET-Computer Science group, linked to the Computer Science Center (CIn) of UFPE, located in the University City, in the West Zone of Recife. This opportunity is part of the university’s efforts to promote education and the dissemination of knowledge in technology.

In-Person Classes in Two Shifts

The classes will be held in person at CIn, on October 21 and 28. Participants can choose between two convenient shifts: morning, from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM, or afternoon, from 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM. This flexibility allows students and teachers to participate without compromising their regular activities.

Required Documentation for Enrollment in the Free Course at UFPE

To enroll, it is necessary to fill out the online registration form and attach a document that proves the participant’s connection with a school in Pernambuco. For students, the 2023 student ID or proof of enrollment at the educational institution is accepted. For teachers, a pay stub that contains the name of the school where they teach is required.

Additionally, on the day of the UFPE course, all participants must carry an official photo ID for identity verification. The content scheduled for the course is detailed in the announcement, which can be accessed online.
