The Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) is accepting applications for 300 slots in a fully online free postgraduate course. The course is in specialization in media in education, offered in the distance learning modality (EAD). This online course is ideal for teachers and professionals looking to deepen their knowledge in educational media and obtain a diploma from a renowned federal university.

This online course aims to provide ongoing training for the pedagogical use of different information and communication technologies – TV and video, computing, radio, and print. The primary target audience is teachers from basic education.

The course aims to highlight the most suitable communication languages for teaching and learning processes, incorporate programs from Seed (TV Escola, Proinfo, Rived, Rádio Escola), higher education institutions, and state and municipal education departments into the school’s political-pedagogical project, and develop authorship strategies and critical reading skills across different media.

The UFSCar selection process for the completely free online postgraduate program offers 300 slots distributed across the following locations:

Bertioga (Indaiá Neighborhood);
Osasco (Downtown);
Peruíbe (Balneário Stella Maris);
Santos – SP;
São Paulo (Interlagos – UniCEU Cidade Dutra);
São Paulo (Jandira);
São Paulo (Jardim Nardini – Jaraguá – UniCEU Vila Atlântica);
São Paulo (Jardim São Carlos – UniCEU Parque São Carlos);
Votuporanga – SP;
São Paulo (Parque Bristol – UniCEU Parque Bristol).

It is worth mentioning that all mandatory evaluative activities of the online course will be conducted via the internet. Any activities at the physical support locations will be optional, pre-scheduled, and non-evaluative. To enroll in the course, candidates must have a degree in any field.

Applications For The Online Course At UFSCar Are Made Online

The applications are free and will be accepted until July 11 at 1 PM. On the application form for the completely free online postgraduate program, applicants must mandatory indicate one of their priorities, the location they wish to be linked to, required documents, prove their degree in any field, through a Graduation Course Diploma, among others.

The selection process for the online course at UFSCar will consist of a single stage of document verification such as ID, CPF or RN, and verification of proof of belonging to the competitive category. In this stage, it will be checked whether the candidate has submitted all the documents indicated to fill the vacancies.

Classification for the completely free online postgraduate program will be based on the order of application, meaning those who apply first will be ranked higher, considering their priorities.

Enrollment In The Online Course At UFSCar

The final result of the selection process will be published on the SEAD UFSCar website, according to the date set out in the announcement schedule. After the list of candidates selected for enrollment is published, the selected individual must pay the enrollment fee.

People on the waiting list do not have to pay the enrollment fee. The amount is R$ 50, related to their enrollment in the online course, except for candidates exempt from the payment.

The list of selected candidates for enrollment will be announced on the same website. Individuals who were not selected but were approved within the number of vacancies will remain on the waiting list and will be called as slots become available.
