With Incredible Cost-Benefit, The Nissan Tiida Sedan Is An Economic Option, A Rival To Civic And Corolla, But Often Overlooked For Its Appearance.

Have you heard of the Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008? This car is a true hidden gem for those looking for a spacious, comfortable, and economical sedan for less than 27 thousand reais. Although it is not one of the most popular in the Brazilian market, mainly due to its design, it offers excellent cost-benefit, even surpassing more expensive models like Civic and Corolla in some aspects, especially in terms of engine and fuel consumption.

The Nissan Tiida Sedan, launched in Brazil in 2010, has often been underestimated by consumers due to its appearance. Many consider it “ugly”, but the truth is that it delivers a performance and comfort that directly compete with established sedans like the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla. With FIPE table prices ranging between R$ 18,000 and R$ 30,000, the Tiida Sedan is a much more economical alternative.

The model is equipped with a 1.8 engine, the well-known MR18DE from the Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008, which generates 125 horsepower and 17.7 kgfm of torque. This engine, although not the most powerful, stands out for its fuel efficiency. The consumption in the city ranges between 8 and 10 km/l, while on the highway, the Nissan Tiida Sedan can reach up to 15 km/l, respectable numbers for a mid-size sedan of its time. In addition, it has a six-speed manual transmission, providing a smooth and pleasant driving experience.

Space and Comfort

If you need space, the Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008 impresses. With a length of 4.47 meters, it is considered a mid-size sedan, and the trunk offers an impressive 467 liters, perfect for those with a family or who need to carry luggage. Inside, it does not disappoint: passenger space is generous, especially with the comfort of the seats, which are soft and pleasant, even on long journeys.

Cost-Benefit

Compared to its competitors, the Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008 is an unbeatable option for those looking for an affordable and well-equipped used sedan. While models like the Civic or Corolla from 2010 cost around R$ 40,000, the Tiida can be found for up to R$ 25,000. This price difference reflects directly in your pocket, but without compromising the comfort and practicality that a sedan offers.

However, it is important to highlight that, having sold only about 3,000 units in Brazil, some replacement parts may be more expensive. The exterior of the Tiida, for example, does not share many components with other Nissan models, which can increase the maintenance cost of the bodywork. But, with care and planning, this should not be a big issue.

Maintenance

Maintaining a Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008 is not a complicated task, as long as you are aware of some particulars. The 1.8 engine is robust but requires attention to items like coils and spark plugs, which may wear out, especially if low-quality fuel is used.

Basic maintenance, like oil and filter changes, is around R$ 300. A complete set of shock absorbers can cost around R$ 500. The Tiida uses a timing chain, which eliminates the need to replace the timing belt, further reducing long-term maintenance costs. For those seeking economy and who do not mind a slightly “simpler” appearance, the Tiida is an excellent choice.

If you are looking for an economical sedan, comfortable and with good performance, the Nissan Tiida SL 1.8 16v 2008 is one of the best options available in the used market. It may not have the visual appeal of its competitors, but it delivers a complete package, with an efficient engine, low consumption, and a cost-benefit that is hard to find today. If appearance is not the deciding factor for you, this could be the perfect opportunity to secure a sedan for less than 27 thousand.

Tenho saudades!!
