Unesp has just announced the opening of 61 vacancies for undergraduate courses, aimed at participants and medalists of knowledge olympiads. The opportunities are for the campuses in Presidente Prudente and Dracena, and interested candidates can apply starting on October 28.

The university’s initiative aims to dedicate work and commitment to students who excel in scientific competitions, offering a unique opportunity for integration into higher education through a differentiated path. How Does the Selection Process Work?

The vacancies for courses are divided into different areas: biological, exact, and human sciences. In total, there are 53 vacancies for Presidente Prudente and 8 for Dracena, cities located in the Western Paulista region. Additionally, the process includes other 21 cities in the state of São Paulo, expanding opportunities for students from various regions.

To compete, candidates need to have participated in one of the 67 knowledge olympiads recognized by Unesp, which include regional, national, Ibero-American, and international events. The results will be announced on December 16, 2024, and the approved candidates will have the chance to start their courses in 2025.

And How Do I Apply?

Applications are completely free and open on the Fundação Vunesp website starting on October 28. The deadline to apply and submit the documents that prove your awards is until December 1. But be careful: do not leave it until the last minute, as sending the documents is essential for validating the application.

Oh, and if you excelled in any scientific olympiad but are not competing in the Unesp 2025 Entrance Exam, that’s not a problem! You can still compete for these olympic vacancies, without needing to be registered for the regular entrance exam.

More Opportunities for Those Who Took the Enem

If you participated in the Enem 2023 or 2024 and are looking for a spot at Unesp, you also have a chance! The remaining vacancies that were not filled by the olympic vacancies will be made available to Enem candidates, regardless of whether they participated in the university’s entrance exam. The period for these interested candidates to express their interest and participate in the calls will be from February 28 to March 5, 2025, all online and at no cost.
