Sign Up for the Free Course for Tutors: State University-UEPG Offers Spots for Training in Inclusive Education in the Online (EAD) Modality and National Certification.

The State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG), through its Center for Technology and Open and Distance Education (NUTEAD), published the Edital 610/24 for the selective process for the extension course Special Education in the Perspective of Inclusive Education. This free course offers an excellent professional training opportunity, focusing on continuing education. Aimed at distance tutors, the course provides pedagogical support to students through the online education (EAD) system and aligns with the commitment to promote inclusive education.

The main objective of the course is to train distance tutors to assist and guide students in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA) using the Moodle platform. Tutoring involves supporting students in activities, mediating the teaching-learning process, and encouraging student autonomy.

The free course is entirely online (EAD) and the required weekly workload for tutoring is 20 hours, allowing flexibility for professionals involved in the project. Activities include meetings with teachers, support for students, and participation in formative activities such as seminars and pedagogical practices.

Available Spots and Offer Locations

The announcement provides for the creation of a reserve list for the role of distance tutor, with calls being made as needed for the course. In addition, 25% of the spots are reserved for affirmative actions, including candidates who are Black, Indigenous, mixed-race, people with disabilities, transgender, or transvestites, according to self-declaration criteria and submission of necessary documentation. The free course will be offered in the online (EAD) modality, with UEPG as the administrative headquarters.

Selection Process

The selection of tutors will be based on a curricular analysis, following the scoring detailed in the announcement. Evaluation criteria include professional and academic experience, with an emphasis on those who have previously worked in Specialized Educational Service (AEE) or have specific training in the field of special education.

The selection process also includes an analysis of supporting documents that must be attached at the time of application. Additionally, there is a hetero-identification procedure for candidates opting for reserved spots. The selection process occurs in eliminatory and classificatory stages, with the curricular analysis being the main evaluation factor.

Requirements for Enrollment in the Free Course

Candidates interested in the selection process must have a higher education degree in Pedagogy, Special Education, or any licenciatura, as well as at least one year of experience in basic or higher education. It is also necessary to prove experience in Specialized Educational Service (AEE) and have completed a training course for tutors or in the use of the Moodle platform.

Since this is a distance course, it is essential that candidates have access to the internet and a computer to carry out the required activities. It is important to remember that it is not allowed to accumulate scholarships funded by Capes/CNPq, except for postgraduate students.

Selection Process Timeline

Stay alert to the timeline of the State University selection process:

  • Application Period: October 21, 2024, to November 4, 2024
  • Publication of Hetero-Identification Announcement: November 6, 2024
  • Final Result (after document analysis): After November 13, 2024
  • Submission of Appeals: Up to 5 days after the publication of the final result.

Enrollments

Enrollment for the selection process will be open from October 21 to November 4, 2024 and must be done exclusively online through the NUTEAD portal, accessible via the link. Take advantage of this opportunity to advance your career as a distance tutor and contribute to inclusive education. The certificate issued at the end of the course is valid throughout the national territory, adding value to your professional training.

Don’t miss this chance for qualification!
