The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) has opened registrations for 150 places in the undergraduate course in History, offered in distance learning mode.

Admission will take place in the first semester of 2025, and the registration fee is R$ 110.

It is worth noting that it is possible to request a fee exemption until September 27, according to Ordinance No. 03/2024/Coperve.

The distance learning History course is an innovation aimed at meeting the demand for flexible and accessible higher education.

With the pandemic, many students have come to value even more the possibility of learning remotely, and UFSC is attentive to this trend.

Affirmative Actions

Half of the places in the Unified Entrance Exam are allocated to Affirmative Action Policies, which include quotas.

These places are specifically aimed at students who completed high school in public schools.

The quotas are divided into different categories, including:

  • Low Income: for candidates with a family income equal to or less than one minimum wage per person.
  • PPI – Black, Brown, Indigenous, and Quilombola: for the black group, considering phenotype, and for indigenous and quilombola individuals, based on ethnic belonging.
  • PCD – Persons with Disabilities: for candidates with disabilities, who must present a valid medical report.

It is essential for candidates to carefully read the description of the quota categories in the announcement before registering.

Incorrectly choosing the category may result in losing the spot.
