Applications and Selection Process
The selection process for the Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence at UFPE will have two main stages: online application and analysis of Enem scores.
Applications started on March 21 and will run until April 4, 2025.
Candidates must access the form available in the announcement, fill in their personal data, and attach proof of participation in Enem from one of the last three years.
The selection will be conducted in two stages:
- Online Application: The application must be completed using the form available in the announcement link.
- Analysis of Enem Scores: The candidate can choose which year of Enem they want to use for selection.
The preliminary result will be announced on April 9, 2025. After that, there will be a period for appeals and evaluation by the Heteroidentification Commission.
For those approved, the submission of supporting documentation will occur by April 13, with the final result expected by April 17.
Start of Classes and Course Load
With a duration of nine semesters, the Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence at UFPE will begin in May 2025, in the 2025.1 semester.
The first 25 qualified students will start classes on May 5, while the others will join in the 2025.2 semester.
The course has been structured by the Center for Informatics (CIn) at UFPE, which is recognized for its expertise in the AI area since the 1970s.
The CIn at UFPE houses the first research group in Artificial Intelligence in Brazil, CIn.AI, which leads innovative projects and develops technological solutions for the market.
This positions UFPE at the forefront of training highly qualified professionals to meet the growing demand for AI specialists.
