The offshore oil and gas market is expanding horizons for women, increasing this group's entry into the job market and offering diverse competitive opportunities. And, to the delight of the female engineers and technicians, this week, Constellation announced its trainee program guaranteeing at least 50% female participation. 

A Constellation, a company operating in the field of oil and gas with offshore services,  announced, last Wednesday, August 24th, that it has its training program for Trainee open, guaranteeing at least 50% of all vacancies destined for the female audience, for the joy of technicians and engineers who wish to enter the job market!

According to the application site prepared by the company, candidates must have fluent English to have the selected profile. In addition, the selection process takes place in five stages, which are: 1) selection of the profiles that best suit the opportunities, 2) online tests to analyze knowledge in logic, mathematics, physics, engineering and English, 3) face-to-face stages with interviews with Human Resources and writing tests, 4) non-technical exams and assessments to identify candidates who are best suited to the company's culture and, finally, 5) admission.

Trainee vacancies at Constellation: check what they are and the requirements 

See, below, some vacancies for the trainee program of the giant of offshore oil and gas and a brief description of the duration and daily activities that will be imposed on those selected. Registration takes place through this link. 

Electronics Area

The duration of the training program will be 14 months and it is offering 3 vacancies. For the profile to be selected, interested parties must have training in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or Automation between the years 2020 and 2022. 

Among the responsibilities of the recent graduate in this program, we can mention:

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of electronics and electrotechnics during the course of the trainee training. 
  • Become constantly familiar with the processes carried out by the private institution, meeting the goals determined by the group. 
  • Act as an assistant whenever on board. 
  • Monitor those responsible for carrying out activities whenever necessary. 
  • Engage actively and be in constant search of knowledge to update.

Machinery Area

To work with the machinery area, it is a requirement that the training took place between the years 2020 and 2022 in Nautical Sciences, with a certificate (DPC-1031 Rule III/1) and have an Enrollment and Registration Booklet available (CIR – 2OM) . The training program will last for 12 months.

Those selected will act as apprentices and assistants to the 2nd Engine Officer in the Engine Room in the navigations, they will also be responsible for monitoring the activities. 

Drilling Area

this is one of the more extensive professionalizations for trainees, with an average duration of 19 months and offering 3 vacancies. Only candidates with training in Electrical, Mechanics and Oil and Gas, both higher and technical, will be selected. 

Those selected will work in practice with off-shore drilling and will have an in-depth understanding of oil extraction processes for the creation of fuels and other derivatives. 

Subsea Operations Area

Professionalization focused on Subsea Operations lasts for 15 months and offers 3 vacancies, requiring only graduates between 2020 and 2022 to apply in courses such as Mechanics, Mechatronics, Oil and Gas, Production or Automation. Candidates will act as Submarine Operations Assistants on board the Maritime Unit.
