USP-SP Announces Selection Process With Six Positions For Higher Education Professor And Salary Of R$ 15.498,97.
The University of São Paulo (USP) recently announced five new public selection notices for selection processes, offering a total of six positions for the position of Higher Education Professor, at the Adjunto class. This initiative aims to strengthen the faculty of the institution with qualified professionals in various areas of Nursing. The salary for the new professors will be R$ 15.498,97.
Details of The Notices and Positions
The five new public selection notices from USP-SP, numbers 57, 58, 59, 60, and 61/2024, offer a total of six positions for the position of Higher Education Professor, Adjunto class.
The positions are distributed among different departments of the university’s School of Nursing.

The first position open at USP is for the Department of Maternal and Child Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing (ENP), focused on the area of Pediatric Nursing, addressing contemporary challenges in caring for children and adolescents with health issues and their families.
Other available positions are for the Department of Professional Guidance (ENO) and the Department of Nursing in Public Health (ENS).
The area of Nursing Teaching is included, as well as management in Nursing with an emphasis on History, Bioethics, Ethics, and Legislation.
Additionally, the Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing (ENC) offers positions for the care of adults and the elderly with acute, critical, and chronic non-communicable conditions, and for Health Surveillance and immunizations.
These areas reflect the need for robust academic training and experience, as the role requires graduation and a doctoral degree in the corresponding discipline.
Registration Period and Selection Process
Those interested in participating in the USP selection process must register between September 3 and November 1, 2024.
Registrations must be made exclusively through the electronic address provided by USP.

The selection process will consist of several stages, including a written test, the analysis of a memorial with a public defense, a teaching test, and a seminar.
In addition, candidates will need to present a research project and participate in a defense regarding the same.
The University will also announce the dates, times, and specific locations for the conduct of these tests.
The USP selection process is immediately valid, and only the approved candidate designated for the position will be appointed.
