Vale, the largest mining company in Brazil and one of the largest in the world, has opened applications for the Global Trainee Program and the Engineering and Geology Specialist Trainee Program 2023. The company offers about 120 positions for recent graduates in the states of Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Maranhão, Pará, and also Rio de Janeiro. There are more than fifty vacancies available just for the state of Minas Gerais.

Originally a state-owned company called Companhia Vale do Rio Doce, it was founded on June 1, 1942. Currently, after a restructuring and name change, Vale is a private company and one of the largest mining companies globally. Its activities have surpassed international borders and are now present in about 20 countries, all committed to the purpose of converting natural resources into economic growth and ecological sustainability. Engineering and Geology Specialist Trainee Program 2023
The Engineering and Geology Specialist Trainee Program at Vale aims to offer and develop the technical knowledge of candidates in the mining and logistics industries. Throughout the training, learning will be encouraged through a specific course within a field of activity. Additionally, opportunities will be provided for theory to be put into practice through experiences.
Candidates who graduated in their engineering and geology programs between March 2020 or will graduate by March 2023 may apply.
Vale seeks individuals who have an interest and availability to take on leadership and supervisory roles in operations in the short and medium term to complement the technical training that the program will provide in areas such as Mine, Port, and Railway. Furthermore, candidates need to be available to travel and live in other cities, and some positions may require an intermediate level of English.
Vale’s Global Trainee Program 2023
The Global Trainee Program has forty vacancies open and seeks candidates who have a broad, systemic, and strategic view of the company, as well as a digital mindset. The training will take place over 18 months, and participants must have graduated in any course, including engineering and geology, between July 2020 and March 2023.
Additionally, an advanced level of proficiency or fluency in English is required, as well as availability to travel and/or live in other cities. The training program will focus on business management and projects and will also include job rotations, meaning that participants will have the opportunity to work in various departments during the company’s activities.

How the Selection Process Will Work

This is done to attract individuals who have the most open minds possible.
