WEG In Contract With CTG Anticipates Transformer Replacement In Modernization Of Ilha Solteira Hydroelectric Plant Adopting A Clean Energy Model
CTG Brazil, one of the leaders in clean energy generation in the country and operator of the Ilha Solteira and Jupiá plants, announces the anticipation of the replacement of 21 power transformers at the Ilha Solteira Hydroelectric Plant, together with WEG, as part of the modernization project that the company has been conducting since 2017.

Initially, the replacement of the equipment was scheduled to take place gradually over the ten years of the project – until 2027. However, it was brought forward thanks to the partnership with WEG, a global company specializing in electromechanical and clean energy equipment, which acted swiftly in delivering the equipment.
The Partnership Between WEG And CTG Brazil Benefits Various Operations Of The Clean Energy Generator
In addition to supplying power transformers for Ilha Solteira, WEG has recently provided equipment for improvements at the Salto Grande, Rosana, Taquaruçu, and Garibaldi plants regarding clean energy, all managed by CTG Brazil. There is one more delivery from the partnership scheduled for July, destined for the Small Hydroelectric Plant (PCH) Retiro. CTG Brazil continues with its modernization schedule for the Jupiá and Ilha Solteira hydroelectric plants. These also involve other equipment, such as turbines and generators from the plants.
