Who Is the Multinational WEG?
Initially producing electric motors, WEG expanded its activities starting in the 1980s, developing electromechanical components, automation products, power and distribution transformers, liquid and powder paints, and electrical insulating varnishes. The company has established itself not only as a manufacturer of motors but also as a provider of complete industrial electrical systems with significant innovations such as the 7 MW wind turbine.
In recent decades, the company has invested in wind turbines, hydropower, and steam turbines to expand its product portfolio, especially in renewable energy. WEG has always prioritized the maintenance and installation of wind farms throughout the country and hydropower turbines, always employing local teams to ensure greater safety.
Moreover, the company holds a responsibility for sustainability and seeks to present innovative solutions for the wind energy sector.
