The technological heart of the SU7 is its HyperOS operating system, the same one used in Xiaomi’s mobile devices.
This integration provides a synergistic user experience, connecting the car to Xiaomi’s smartphones and smart home devices.
With a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor powering the onboard computer, the SU7 offers not only performance but also a flexible platform for future updates.
Intelligence and Connectivity
The intelligence of the SU7 also extends to user interaction.
Its 16.1-inch digital display between the driver and passenger seats makes it easy to control functions, from media playback to seat adjustments.
Moreover, innovation continues at the back of the front seats, where a magnetic connector with 22.5 watts of charging allows rear seat occupants to connect up to two tablets for entertainment during the trip.
Xiaomi Pilot: The Revolution in Autonomous Navigation
The highlight of the launch is Xiaomi Pilot, an autonomous navigation system powered by the Nvidia Drive Orin processor.
Equipped with a variety of external sensors to track the environment, Xiaomi aims to complete autonomous driving tests in 100 Chinese cities by the end of 2024, according to information from Engadget.
In addition, the system is designed to operate in various weather conditions, including rainy or snowy days, demonstrating its robustness and reliability.
Two Variants, One Powerful Experience
The SU7 line features two variants: the conventional and the Max.
Both are powered by the HyperEngine motor, providing an impressive top speed of 265 km/h and up to 21 thousand revolutions per minute (RPM).
This rotation rate stands out compared to competitors like the Tesla Model S Plaid and the Porsche Taycan Turbo, reinforcing Xiaomi’s commitment to exceptional performance.
Range is also a strong point of the SU7.
While the SU7 Max, with a dual motor and a 101 kWh battery, offers an incredible range of 800 km, the SU7, with a single motor and a 73.6 kWh battery, doesn’t fall behind, reaching up to 668 km on a single charge.
Fast charging is another notable feature, allowing the driver to travel up to 220 km with just five minutes of charging.
