The Details of the Factory to Be Installed in Manaus
The president and founder of the company that will install a factory in Manaus, Rogério Nunes, says that the plans envision growth. He emphasizes that in 2020, the volume of computers that used the memory modules from the manufacturer reached 6.9 million. “In 2021 this number is expected to reach a total of 8.1 million. We will meet the 5G technology and other connectivity-related demands.”
According to the president, the largest portion of the R$137 million balance will be immediately applied to the installation of the factory in Manaus and the start of operations. Another investment planned by Smart Brasil is R$10 million per year. This amount will be allocated, starting October of this year, to the Research and Development (R&D) segment. “The work will be done in partnership with a research institute in the region, focused on the development/improvements of products and processes,” he states.

Various Investments in the State of Amazonas
In the opinion of the vice president of Fieam, Nelson Azevedo, the decision of these companies to establish themselves and invest in the PIM demonstrates that entrepreneurs believe in the Manaus Free Trade Zone model. “Despite some dissonant signals emitted by Brasília that cause legal insecurity, entrepreneurs are confident to continue with their projects in the region. Another factor that makes us happy is the deployment projects. These are new products or new companies that are bringing investments to the Industrial Pole and signaling the expansion of jobs,” he celebrates.
He says that the sector believes in the resumption of economic growth and the expansion of business in the Manaus Free Trade Zone. “We will remain vigilant to maintain the attractiveness of the region and advance in this development project.”

The mayor of the northern city of Espírito Santo, Guerino Zanon, announced the start of the work through a social network. “We are pleased to announce the start of the largest industrial project in Espírito Santo.
