Some of the most important experts and authorities in the Brazilian port sector are gathering on May 2 and 3 at the 1st National Congress on Competition and Regulation in the Port Sector. The event, to be held at the Mercure Hotel in Balneário Camboriú (SC), will bring together public and private professionals and managers to discuss essential topics for the sustainable and competitive development of Brazilian ports.
Strategic Planning, Infrastructure Investments, and ESG: Challenges and Solutions will be some of the highlighted topics in the panels and debates of the program. Among the confirmed speakers are Eduardo Nery, director of the National Waterway Transportation Agency (ANTAQ); Alexandre Cordeiro Macedo, president of the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade); Alexandre de Souza Barreto, General Superintendent of Cade; and Luiz Hoffmann, director of the Institute for Studies in Social Sciences (IE) and general organizer of the congress.
Analyzing the challenges and opportunities for the development of port infrastructure, experts will discuss investments in new technologies and the modernization of existing ports.
