According to Auto Esporte, the automotive market is about to witness a revolution! The new BYD Song Plus SUV is set to revolutionize the automotive market with its amazing range. The second generation of the hybrid SUV with unmatched range from the Chinese brand promises to reach up to 2,000 km without the need for refueling, which equates to nearly 2 months of average driving for a motorist.

The new version of the Song Plus SUV adopts BYD’s new visual language, called “Dragon Face,” which provides a more robust and modern appearance to the vehicle, in addition to an awe-inspiring range! The front of the SUV features a widened hexagonal grille, chrome details, and elongated headlights, while the bumper has been redesigned to offer larger air intakes.

Technology and Performance in the New SUV From BYD

The model will utilize the fifth generation of the DM-i plug-in hybrid system, combined with higher capacity Blade-type batteries, featuring LFP (lithium iron phosphate) blades. These improvements (not to mention the range) not only double the vehicle’s range but also promise impressive performance.

Currently, the SUV is equipped with a 1.5-liter engine producing 110 hp and a front electric motor generating 179 hp, resulting in a combined power of 235 hp. It has not yet been confirmed whether these figures will change in the new generation.
