Attention construction professionals residing in the state of Bahia! More than 2 thousand job vacancies are open to work on the VLT Suburb works. There are 48 positions called, ranging from mason, carpenter, electrician, scaffolder, forklift operator, construction helper, crane operator, among others; find out how to apply.

According to Skyrail Bahia, the company implementing the VLT Suburb, the new mode will have the capacity to transport 172 thousand users from Ilha de São João, in Simões Filho, passing through the entire suburb, to the Comércio neighborhood, integrating with the Acesso Norte metro station. When operational, it will directly benefit about 600 thousand people living in the suburb area.

Powered by electric propulsion, with no emissions of pollutants that harm the environment, the VLT of the Suburb will travel from Calçada to Paripe in 25 minutes. To give an idea of the travel time reduction, the train makes the same trip in 40 to 50 minutes.

Phase 1 comprises 19.2 km, with 21 stations and will connect the Comércio neighborhood, in the Lower City of the capital, to Ilha de São João, in Simões Filho, in the Metropolitan Region of Salvador. Phase 2, which connects the São Joaquim area to Acesso Norte (integration with the metro), is expected to have 5 more stations.
