The New Pathfinder 2026 Debuts With Renewed Design, Advanced Assistance Technologies, and an Expanded Multimedia Center, Strengthening the Proposal for a Robust Family SUV in the North American Market.

Nissan has presented the Pathfinder 2026, an update of the full-size SUV that combines a 284 hp V6 engine, a new 12.3-inch multimedia center in all versions, and a camera system capable of creating the so-called “invisible” hood view.

The model will make its first public appearance at the Los Angeles Auto Show, held from November 21 to 30, and will reach North American dealerships in early 2026 in S, SV, Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum versions.

Produced in the United States since 2004, the Pathfinder retains its familiar mechanical base but features subtle styling changes, more onboard technology, and new driving assistants.

With seating for up to eight occupants and towing capacity of up to 2,700 kg in the most complete configurations, the SUV continues to be focused on family use, long trips, and transporting loads or trailers.

Exterior Design of the Nissan Pathfinder 2026

In the 2026 line, the Pathfinder gains redesigned front and rear bumpers, with subtle changes that bring the model closer to the brand’s latest design language.

The front grille undergoes adjustments, the chrome elements are revised, and the air intakes have been reshaped, giving a more modern appearance without altering the SUV’s proportions.

All external badges now have a satin finish, replacing the more intense shine used previously.

Another novelty is the new Baltic Petroleum Blue color, offered across the range.

In the SL and Platinum versions, the roof rails are now always black.

The top-of-the-line Platinum also receives a new set of 20-inch wheels with an exclusive design.

The interior of the version includes updated stitching patterns and wood trim.

Inside, the Pathfinder 2026 features a redesigned dashboard to accommodate the new 12.3-inch multimedia center, which becomes standard equipment in all configurations.

The screen consolidates the main entertainment and connectivity functions and retains physical buttons for quick access.

Right below the center, the trim displays the embossed inscription “PATHFINDER”.

In the SL and Platinum variants, the instrument cluster is also fully digital, with a configurable 12.3-inch display.

Connectivity includes Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across the lineup.

The wireless smartphone charger has been redesigned and now offers 15 watts of power, dedicated ventilation, and a magnetic system for correct device positioning.

The Pathfinder 2026 retains the 3.5-liter V6 engine, naturally aspirated, with 284 hp and 351 Nm of torque, always paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The transmission offers manual shifting via paddle shifters.

The start-stop system remains standard and can be deactivated.

The 4×4 drive is available across the lineup and is standard in the Rock Creek version.

The drive mode selector offers seven options: Automatic, Eco, Tow, Sport, Sand, Mud, and Trail.

The base versions can tow up to 1,600 kg.

The Rock Creek, Platinum, and SV Premium and SL Premium packages increase the capacity to 2,700 kg.

Advanced Cameras and “Invisible” Hood View

Among the technological features, the SUV now includes the Intelligent 360° HD View Monitor, available in the Rock Creek, SL, and Platinum versions.

The package includes a Wide Front View that offers a 180-degree field of view in front.

Another highlight is the Invisible Hood View function, which creates a virtual projection of the area below the hood to facilitate movement in tight spaces and trails.

The entire range comes standard with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package, which includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-keeping assist, and automatic high beam.

From the SV version onward, the model adds the ProPILOT Assist package and Intelligent Cruise Control.

Internal Space and Trunk

The interior continues to accommodate up to eight occupants with a bench seat in the second row. When equipped with individual seats, the SUV can accommodate seven people.

The second row can tilt and slide even with child seats installed, thanks to the LATCH AND GLIDE system.

In the trunk, the volume is 470 liters with three rows in use. With rows folded down, the capacity can reach 2,280 liters.

The SV, Rock Creek, and SL versions come with an electric tailgate. The Platinum adds a motion-sensor opening.

The Rock Creek variant focuses on light to medium off-road use.

This version features recalibrated suspension, increased ground clearance, all-terrain tires, an exclusive front grille, and LED fog lights.

The tubular roof rack increases the cargo transport capacity.

Inside, the version features specific upholstery and stitching in Lava Red.

The Rock Creek Premium package adds a panoramic sunroof, wireless charger, 12-volt outlet in the trunk, and heated steering wheel.

Safety and Market Positioning

In terms of safety, all 2026 Pathfinders come with the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package and features such as Intelligent Forward Collision Warning.

According to Nissan, the model received five stars in NHTSA testing.

With a refreshed look, larger central display, new assistants, and the V6 engine maintained with available 4×4 drive, the Nissan Pathfinder 2026 reinforces its position among full-size SUVs targeting families and mixed use between city, road, and trails.
