4,500 openings for free qualification courses in the distance learning modality are offered by Firjan SENAI throughout the state of Rio. The opportunities are divided into two calls: 2,500 opportunities are for the general public and 2,000 are exclusively for workers and former workers in the industry and their dependents. There are 23 free courses with a workload between 160 and 260 hours for various areas, such as Residential Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic; Video Editor; Graphic Visual Project Editor; Manufacturing Supervisor; Database Administrator; and Maintainer and Controller of Industrial Plants.

Classes are scheduled to start on September 15. Interested candidates must have a gross monthly family income of at least 1.5 minimum wage. Each course also defines the age and education requirements for candidates.

2000 Openings for Workers and Former Workers in the Industry and Their Dependents

Selection Process

In addition to all the necessary documentation required by both calls, such as ID, CPF, and proof of residence (complete list in the calls), for openings aimed at workers and former workers in the industry and their dependents, it is necessary to present proof of employment within 3 years prior to the publication date of the call (original work card or pay stub of the responsible person).

There will be no selection test. The openings will be filled in order of registration, considering the number of openings disclosed in the call, and at this moment the candidate must attach the required documents. After that, Firjan SENAI will conduct a review of the documentation and, if everything is in order, will finalize the student’s enrollment in the desired course.
