BRL 1 billion investment promises to reinvigorate Abreu e Lima Refinery
The Abreu e Lima Refinery, located in Pernambuco, should receive an investment of approximately R$ 1 billion, as announced by Deputy Lula Cabral (Solidariedade). This financial injection into Rnest (Abreu e Lima Refinery) seeks to leverage diesel production and breathe new life into the local economy, expanding Petrobras' activities in the region.

Generation of direct and indirect jobs heats up the labor market
With investments in the Abreu e Lima Refinery, the expectation is that more than 10 direct jobs will be generated in Pernambuco, in addition to approximately 50 indirect ones, according to Lula Cabral (Solidariedade).

State deputy Jeferson Timóteo (PP) highlighted the importance of ensuring that local workers are prepared to fill available vacancies, highlighting the need for a public hearing to discuss the challenges of resuming refinery activities.
Regional development and complementary projects
In addition to the expansion of the Abreu e Lima Refinery, other projects are considered essential for the development of Pernambuco. Mário Ricardo (Republicans) mentioned the construction of the Metropolitan Arch, which aims to connect the north to the south of the state, as an equally important initiative.
Additionally, completion of the Transnordestina works it is seen as a necessity to further boost the local economy.
Antonio Coelho (União) celebrated the prospect of expanding Rnest's refining capacity and the signs of a healthier management by Petrobras, showing optimism in relation to the sector's future.
