A New Batch of PIS/Pasep Expands Salary Allowance Payments and Releases Funds for More Than 150,000 Workers, With Withdrawals Allowed Until the End of the Annual Calendar, Moving Millions in Federal Resources Destined for Beneficiaries.
An extra batch of the salary allowance for PIS/Pasep starts being paid to 152,444 workers who were excluded from previous credits this Saturday (15).
According to data from the Ministry of Labor and Employment, the released amount totals approximately R$ 156.5 million, which can be withdrawn until December 29, the end date of the payment calendar for 2025.
For the year as a whole, the salary allowance program for the base year of 2023 reaches 26.47 million eligible workers, of which approximately 26.32 million (99.4%) have already received the benefit.

Who Is Entitled to PIS/Pasep in the New Batch
The salary allowance is intended for private sector workers and public servants who meet a set of eligibility criteria.
To receive in this 2025 calendar, one must be registered in PIS/Pasep for at least five years, counted from the date of the first formal employment.
It is also required that, in 2023, the professional has received on average up to two minimum wages per month, which corresponds to R$ 2,640.00 in the period considered for calculation by the government.
Additionally, it is mandatory to have worked in a paid position with a signed carteira for at least 30 days in 2023, consecutive or not, in a company that contributes to PIS or Pasep.
The data of the employment contract must have been correctly reported by the employer in eSocial or RAIS, which explains why some beneficiaries only became eligible now, after corrections and updates.
With this extra batch, the government aims to reduce the number of workers who had not yet been included in previous batches.
Those who do not withdraw by the end of the deadline will have the amounts returned to the National Treasury, losing the right to this payment cycle.
How to Check the Benefit in the Digital Work Card
The verification of the entitlement to the allowance and the eligibility for this extra batch is mainly done digitally.
The simplest way is through the Digital Work Card app, available for free on mobile devices.
With the updated app, the worker must log in using their CPF and password from the gov.br portal.
Then, simply access the “Benefits” tab and tap on “Salary Allowance”.
The screen automatically informs whether there is a available amount, the amount to receive, and the bank responsible for the payment.
The inquiry is also available on the gov.br portal.
Another option is phone assistance at 158, which operates from Monday to Saturday and can answer questions about the benefit.
Payment of PIS by Caixa for Private Sector Workers
Private sector workers receive the allowance through PIS, paid by Caixa Econômica Federal.
The priority is automatic deposit into an already existing account at the institution, whether checking, savings, or digital account.
If the beneficiary does not have an account able to receive the credit, Caixa will automatically open a social digital savings account, managed by Caixa Tem.
Those who prefer to withdraw cash can use Caixa branches, lottery houses, self-service terminals, and Caixa Aqui correspondents.
Access can be done with a card and password or, in some cases, through registered biometrics.
Payment of Pasep at Banco do Brasil for Public Servants
Public servants and other workers linked to Pasep receive the allowance through Banco do Brasil.
Those with checking or savings accounts at the bank receive the credit automatically on the release date.
Beneficiaries without an account but with a Pix key registered with CPF can also have the amount credited this way.
Those without Pix or a bank account must make an in-person withdrawal at any Banco do Brasil branch, presenting an identification document.
It is also possible to request transfer via TED or Pix to another financial institution through the bank’s digital channels.
Allowance Amounts and Proportional Calculation
The amount to be paid in this 2025 calendar follows the general rule of the program. The salary allowance is proportional to the number of months worked in 2023, the base year for calculation.
In this sense, the government considers the current minimum wage of R$ 1,518.00, and the amount is divided by 12 and multiplied by the number of months worked.
Those who worked throughout the year receive R$ 1,518.00, while those who worked only part of the year receive a proportional share. The minimum benefit is around R$ 127.00, increasing to the ceiling according to the time worked.
