In 2025, BYD solidified its absolute leadership in the Brazilian electric vehicle market. Recent data reveals that, out of 53,379 electric cars registered between January and September, an impressive 40,183 belong to the Chinese manufacturer, which represents over 70% market share, according to information from CNN Brasil.

The brand’s dominance is not limited to just sales numbers but also to public trust. In a short time, BYD has built a vast network of dealerships with increasing presence in all regions of the country, offering specialized service and extended warranties that surpass those of many competitors.

This combination of factors has helped transform the company into a true phenomenon in the national automotive sector.

Dolphin Mini Leads the Ranking of the Best-Selling Electric Cars

The highlight among the models is the BYD Dolphin Mini, which remains as the best-selling electric car in Brazil in 2024 and 2025. In addition to being the sales champion, the model is the most affordable from the brand, costing around R$ 130 thousand.

According to Inmetro, the Dolphin Mini offers 75 horsepower and range of up to 280 km, numbers that make it ideal for urban use. Although it is not the cheapest in the segment, the Renault Kwid E-Tech starts at R$ 99,990, the BYD model has won consumers over with build quality, interior comfort, and embedded technology, surpassing rivals in overall satisfaction and performance.
