In the detailed model ranking, the BYD Dolphin occupies the first position, followed by Honda Civic, with 14.9%, and Toyota Corolla, with 13%.
In a second block, three vehicles are tied with 9.3% of the mentions: Hyundai Creta, Toyota Hilux, and BYD Song Plus.
The ranking continues with Hyundai HB20 (8%), Jeep Renegade (6.8%), Tesla Model Y (6.8%), and BMW X6 (5.5%).
The results encompass vehicles from different price ranges, proposals, and usage profiles, a common feature in desire and purchase intention surveys, according to market analyses.
Moreover, the simultaneous presence of electrified and combustion models suggests an expanding interest in new technologies among the public.
Still, experts highlight that this type of survey does not necessarily represent a short-term purchase decision.
Tesla Model Y and the Strength of Desire for Global Brands
Among the ten most cited models, the Tesla Model Y stands out for not being officially sold in Brazil.
Currently, without local brand representation, the electric SUV can only be purchased through independent imports.
This process involves additional costs and specific procedures that vary according to the buyer’s profile.
According to automotive market specialists, the inclusion of vehicles in this condition tends to reflect brand recognition and international visibility more than immediate acquisition intent.
Still, this data helps gauge the growing interest in electrics from different origins among Brazilian consumers.

Among the respondents, technology and connectivity appeared as the primary factor.
Next, the expectation of lower environmental impact emerged.
Other mentioned points include economy, safety features, and performance and drivability.
The responses were collected through multiple-choice questions.
As a result, each participant could select more than one option.
According to Webmotors, the data was compiled in an online form conducted on January 9, 2026.
The study presents a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points, plus or minus.

This performance has contributed to increasing the presence of electrics in the national market.
More recently, the Dolphin Mini has started to occupy part of this space.
The model has gained visibility for having a lower price within the brand’s lineup.
Still, the Dolphin has maintained relevance in desire surveys, as pointed out in Webmotors’ findings.
