The Largest Mall in Brazil is Aricanduva, in the East Zone of São Paulo, which gathers more than 500 stores, cinemas, themed areas and generates thousands of direct and indirect jobs

The largest mall in Brazil, Aricanduva, is not just a shopping center, but a true urban complex. Located in the East Zone of São Paulo, it occupies an area of 440,000 square meters, of which 257,000 square meters are dedicated exclusively to stores and commercial operations.

With over 500 establishments, free parking for 15,000 vehicles, and themed spaces that range from furniture and decoration to car sales, Aricanduva impresses with numbers that make it a commercial and social landmark for the capital city.

The Grandeur of the Largest Mall in Brazil

The Largest Mall in Brazil looks like an entire city: over 500 stores, 15,000 parking spots, and numbers that impress any visitor

Aricanduva was inaugurated in 1991 and has since undergone several expansions that consolidated it as a national reference.

It is not an exaggeration to say that the largest mall in Brazil operates almost like a city within São Paulo, given its structure and diversity.

In addition to clothing, electronics, and service stores, the complex features three food courts, 13 movie theaters, and leisure areas aimed at the entire family.

This variety explains why Aricanduva attracts thousands of visitors daily, not only from the capital but also from neighboring municipalities.

Integrated Complex in Three Main Areas

Aricanduva stands out for being a multipurpose enterprise, divided into three main sectors.

The Leste Aricanduva Shopping is the central area, with hundreds of stores and services.

The Interlar Aricanduva is dedicated exclusively to furniture, decoration, and household items.

The Auto Shopping Aricanduva specializes in vehicle sales, bringing together dealerships and automotive services in one space.

This integration transforms the location into a hub that meets from basic daily needs to high-value purchases.

The visitor finds complete solutions for consumption, leisure, and mobility in a single location.

Economic and Social Impact of the Structure

With its size, Aricanduva has a strong impact on the local economy.

There are about 7,000 direct jobs and another 15,000 indirect jobs, making it one of the main job generators in the eastern region.

Furthermore, the presence of such a large center has helped transform the surroundings, attracting real estate investments and improving urban infrastructure.

Another differential is the free parking for up to 15,000 vehicles, something increasingly rare in large commercial centers.

This benefit enhances accessibility and reinforces the mall’s popularity, especially on weekends.

What You Should Know About Aricanduva

Visiting the largest mall in Brazil requires planning.

Due to its size, it is common for visitors to need to organize their itinerary to avoid wasting time between different sectors.

The complex is so large that visiting all its areas may require more than a day.

Aricanduva is also considered a symbol of the East Zone, representing a milestone in development and leisure for millions of São Paulo residents.

Its combination of commerce, services, and entertainment makes it not just a mall but a destination.

The largest mall in Brazil shows how consumption centers have evolved to become complete commercial cities, directly impacting the lives of millions of people.

Its grandeur impresses both in numbers and in importance for the region.
