Developed from the German Meco A1 light frigate project and adjusted to Brazilian needs, the Tamandaré F200 is part of the class of frigates that also includes the Jerônimo de Albuquerque F201, Cunha Moreira F202 and Mariz e Barros F203, with deliveries expected until 2029.
