Brazilian Navy offers dozens of places in free qualification courses

The Brazilian Navy has opened registrations for waterway courses. There are 90 places, divided between three courses. Registration takes place from July 1st to 10th, 2024. Candidates must meet specific requirements and go through several eliminatory stages.

This Thursday, (04/07), the Brazilian Navy has a new selection process opened through the Almirante Braz de Aguiar Instruction Center (CIABA), located in Belém — Pará. This process aims to select candidates to fill the 90 open positions in free courses. These are: the Adaptation Course for Waterways, Specific Module for Riverways — Deck Section (CAAQ-MFL-1/2024), in addition to the Training Courses for Waterways — Deck River Sailor — Level 3 (CFAQ-MFC-2/2024) and Machinery River Seaman — Level 3 (CFAQ-MFM-2/2024).

How are places distributed among free courses?

In total, 30 are being offered vacancies in each of the free courses mentioned, which are structured into two distinct parts: an initial theoretical phase followed by a supervised internship.

This internship, known as “Operational Practice on Board”, has a workload of 288 hours.

It is important to highlight that military veterans of the Brazilian Navy, belonging to the CPA/QPA, are exempt from this stage.

How to apply for vacancies offered by the Brazilian Navy?

Registration to compete for places on free courses will be open from July 1st to 10th, 2024, exclusively through the official website of the Brazilian Navy.

Who can participate in the free qualification courses?

To participate, interested parties must meet fundamental requirements, such as being born or naturalized Brazilian.

Be at least 18 years old and have education equivalent to the 9th year of Elementary School or a high school technical course in specific areas listed in the notice.
