The Newest Construction Project of a Diesel Production and Processing Plant at the Replan Refinery Will Be Led by Toyo Setal and Will Utilize a More Sustainable Production Chain with Low Carbon Emission Throughout the Process.

For this Wednesday, (06/15), the company Toyo Setal will continue the project of constructing a diesel hydrotreating unit (HDT) and revamping existing units at the Paulínia Refinery (Replan), located in the state of São Paulo. The company won the bidding against competitors last month and is now mobilizing to proceed with the plant for producing low-sulfur diesel.

New Diesel Production Plant at the Replan Refinery Will Be Built by Toyo Setal After Winning the Bid for the Project at the Complex

After a long wait for the necessary bids for the project, the industrial ventures and solutions company Toyo Setal will construct a diesel production plant at Replan, located in the state of São Paulo. This is yet another project aimed at diversifying the fuel production chain in Brazil and will ensure further investments in the diesel marketing segment in the coming years.

Moreover, the new fuel production plant will also feature a greater environmental commitment in the production chain, as all diesel production at this refinery will be of the S-10 type, which has lower sulfur content than the S-500 diesel that will cease production.

After signing the contract last month, Toyo Setal is already mobilizing with the consortium to continue the project, with a final deadline of 40 months for the completion of the new plant’s construction.

Lastly, the contract with Toyo Setal at Replan also ensures that the company is involved in supplying equipment and services aimed at a variety of industrial issues at the refinery. Among them are the development of the executive project, construction, assembly and disassembly, revamp, commissioning, pre-operation and startup support, assisted operation, and providing goods for the HDT 4 project.

To further expedite the project, the company stated that it is already in the mobilization phase to acquire the necessary equipment for starting the construction of the diesel production plant.

Construction of New Diesel Production Plant at the Replan Refinery Will Ensure Better Prospects for the Complex and Job Opportunities in the Region

The project for constructing the new diesel production plant at Replan will be essential for significantly increasing fuel production over the coming years, ensuring a more efficient internal supply. Additionally, the work is expected to generate approximately 1,300 direct jobs, according to projections from Toyo Setal, which hopes to positively contribute to economic growth in the state of São Paulo.

Furthermore, Carlos Stampa, the business development manager at Toyo Setal, commented on the company winning the bidding and the new project, highlighting the company’s commitment to the best industrial solutions for the plant.

The executive also concluded: “We will apply all our local experience and capacity to execute large-scale construction and assembly services, using our own workforce. Toyo Setal will leverage its deep local procurement knowledge with the global procurement services of Toyo Engineering Corporation.”

The company’s projections also aim that by the year 2025, the Replan’s capacity for producing S-10 diesel could increase by 63,000 barrels per day (bpd) and by 12.5 bpd of aviation kerosene, ensuring a new growth prospect for fuel marketing in the country.
