International Recognition Highlights Early Talents, Multiple Historical Approvals, and Reinforces That Brazil Also Forms Extraordinary Minds from an Early Age
At the age of 16, Brazilian student Caio Temponi achieved another significant milestone in his academic journey. Moreover, recognized nationally for his multiple approvals in university entrance exams and military competitions, he is now on the list of the 100 world child prodigies in 2025, according to the Global Child Prodigy Awards (GCP Awards).
In this context, the information was disclosed by “g1 Zona da Mata”, in a report published on May 20, 2025. According to the report, Caio represents Brazil at the international award that gathers children and adolescents with extraordinary abilities. Additionally, the organization evaluates talents from various countries in areas such as music, science, sports, entrepreneurship, arts, intelligence and memory.
This way, Caio gained recognition in the Intelligence and Memory – IQ category. Thus, the award reinforces a precocious, consistent, and above-average academic trajectory. At the same time, the result enhances the visibility of Brazilian talent in a highly competitive global environment.

After the announcement, the student commented on the achievement. According to him, being among the greatest talents in the world is an honor accompanied by responsibility. Still, he highlighted the desire to represent the country and prove that Brazil also forms exceptional talents.
Early Intellectual Talent and a Series of Unprecedented Achievements in Brazil
First of all, Caio’s highlight did not come by chance. On the contrary, his intellectual talent became evident as early as 12 years old. At that moment, he won first place overall in the entrance exam of the Air Cadet Preparatory School (EPCAR). Additionally, he answered all 48 questions correctly, a rare achievement even among experienced candidates.
The following year, at the age of 13, Caio expanded his list of accomplishments. During this period, he was approved in five entrance exams, including highly competitive courses like medicine and law at the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRRJ). From then on, his trajectory began to gain national prominence.
Among the main results, the following stand out:
- Moreover, he was the youngest student admitted to the Aerospace Technological Institute (ITA), at the age of 14
- Similarly, he became the youngest student in the law course at UFJF, at the age of 14
- Still, he was the youngest student to be admitted to medicine, at the age of 13, with five approvals
- Later, he became the youngest approved in public universities through the Enem, at the age of 13
- Next, he entered the Aerospace Academy (AFA), also at the age of 13
- Finally, he became the only Brazilian to skip four school grades and complete high school at the age of 14
Additionally, in 2023, when he was 15 years old, Caio took on the position of representative at the International Society for Gifted (IIS). This way, he began to join high-level academic and scientific environments from an early age.
Thus, his story is not limited to isolated approvals. On the contrary, it reveals a consistent sequence of results that challenges traditional standards of the Brazilian educational system.
International Award, Event in London, and Financial Challenges
Finally, the Global Child Prodigy Awards annually recognizes young individuals considered exceptional in various fields of knowledge. In 2025, the organizers invited the award winners to a ceremony in London, scheduled for June 26.
However, Caio’s presence at the event is not yet confirmed. This is because the main obstacle involves financial issues, highlighting a recurring contrast in the Brazilian educational landscape.
In addition to the ceremony, the award publishes the stories of the selected individuals in the Global Child Prodigy Annual Book, a work distributed globally featuring inspiring journeys.
