Constellation, a reference in drilling in deep and ultra-deep waters, justifies the opening of the offshore nurse position as part of maintaining the safety and health standards required in the maritime environment.

Requirements for the Offshore Nurse Position

To apply for the offshore nurse position at Constellation, applicants must have a complete higher education degree in Nursing.

Moreover, candidates must present valid ITLS and ACLS certificates, which qualify them for emergency care and advanced life support.

A valid CBSP course is also mandatory, along with a postgraduate degree in Occupational Nursing.

These requirements ensure that the professional is prepared to handle critical situations in an offshore environment.

Activities of the Onboard Nurse

The nurse hired by Constellation will be responsible for first aid care, more complex nursing procedures, and constant communication with the medical department on land.

Additionally, they must maintain updated medical records and inform the company doctor about any changes in the health of onboard staff.

The offshore position also involves hygiene inspections of the vessel, focusing on food safety and control of Foodborne Diseases.

The professional will also participate in training rescue teams and educational actions aimed at workers’ health.
