IFRO Opened Free Enrollment for Undergraduate Programs in 2026, Offering In-Person and Distance Learning Courses, Admission Without Entrance Exam, and Available Slots in Various Fields, with Entry Based on High School Grades. Opportunities Are Distributed Across Several Campuses in the State.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rondônia is now accepting applications for the Unified Selection Process 2026/1, which offers free higher education courses for admission in the first semester of 2026.

The selection is conducted without an entrance exam, based on the candidate’s performance in high school, and applications must be submitted exclusively online by December 14, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

Free Slots in Higher Education at IFRO

According to the public notice and the official vacancy table, IFRO offers 1,226 vacancies in 31 undergraduate courses, all free, spread across ten campuses in the state of Rondônia.

The offerings include degrees in Technology, Teaching, and Bachelor’s Degree, in fields such as agronomy, engineering, computer science, education, and exact and biological sciences.

There are no charges for registration, enrollment, or tuition.

The selected candidate studies higher education at a federal public institution, with access to student assistance policies, according to the availability of each campus.

The process includes slots in in-person courses as well as offerings in Distance Education (EaD) at the undergraduate level, with mandatory in-person activities at campuses or support centers, according to the academic calendar.

The details of courses and EaD centers are outlined in the official documents of the selection process.

Distribution of Courses by IFRO Campus

At the Ariquemes Campus, there are vacancies for Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, Biological Sciences, and Higher Technology in Systems Analysis and Development, with full-time or evening offerings, totaling 160 slots.

The Cacoal Campus includes Agronomic Engineering, Animal Science, Geography Teaching, and Mathematics Teaching, all in-person, also with 160 slots in total.

In Colorado do Oeste, the public notice confirms four courses: Agronomic Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, and Biological Sciences Teaching, highlighting 30 slots in Veterinary Medicine and 36 in Animal Science, as well as two programs with 40 slots each.

The Guajará-Mirim Campus offers Biological Sciences Teaching, with 40 slots in the evening period.

The Jaru Campus provides 40 slots for the Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine, in a full-time shift.

At the Ji-Paraná Campus, candidates find three undergraduate options: Forestry Engineering, Chemistry Teaching, and Higher Technology in Systems Analysis and Development, totaling 120 slots.

The Porto Velho Calama Campus focuses on courses in the exact sciences and engineering: Civil Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics Teaching, and Systems Analysis and Development, with 40 slots in each course.

At the Porto Velho Zona Norte Campus, there are five technological and teaching degrees: Pedagogy, Business Management, Public Management, Computer Networks, and Internet Systems, each with 40 slots.

The São Miguel do Guaporé Campus offers the Higher Technology course in Agrocomputing, with 40 slots.

In Vilhena, candidates can apply for Architecture and Urbanism, Mathematics Teaching, and Systems Analysis and Development, also with 40 slots per course.

Participation Rules and Operation of Quotas

To participate in the selection, it is mandatory to have completed High School by the enrollment date, whether in regular schools, through supplementary exams, Encceja, or certification via Enem.

The public notice follows the system of Affirmative Actions/Social Quotas, in accordance with Laws No. 12,711/2012 and No. 14,723/2023.

At least 50% of the slots in each course and shift are reserved for students who completed their High School entirely in Brazilian public schools, with subdivisions by income, color or ethnicity, and disability condition.

Within this group, candidates with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder can compete for slots designated for people with disabilities.

In addition to the quota vacancies for graduates of public schools, there is a specific reserve for graduates from IFRO itself and opportunities in open competition, available to all candidates who meet the educational requirements.

How the Selection Will Be Made Without Entrance Exam

The classification in PSU 2026/1 is done without the application of in-person or online tests.

IFRO uses the overall average of the grades or scores obtained in the subjects of Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, and Geography, taken during High School.

The calculation of this average follows specific rules described in the public notice and in specific annexes, with guidelines for correctly filling out the application system.

For those who completed High School through exams such as Encceja or based on Enem scores, the document provides conversion guidelines to allow participation on equal terms.

The entire procedure for analysis and average generation is automated.

The candidate informs the grades according to the school report or certificates of completion, and the system performs the calculation.

Therefore, it is essential to record the data carefully and keep the documents that prove the declared information at hand, as they will be required at the time of enrollment.

Schedule for the Unified Selection Process 2026/1

The enrollment period runs from November 10 to December 14, 2025, ending at 11:59 PM on the last day.

The preliminary results are expected on December 15, 2025, after 6 PM.

Candidates may submit appeals on December 16 and 17, according to the guidelines in the public notice.

The final result will be published on December 19, also after 6 PM, followed by the first call for enrollment on January 5, 2026.

Keeping track of the official schedule is essential to avoid missing deadlines for appeals and document submission.

How to Register for Free Courses at IFRO

Enrollment is done exclusively online, through IFRO’s selection system.

Interested individuals must create or access their account, choose the campus and desired course, correctly input the grades from high school subjects according to the guidelines of the public notice, indicate whether they are competing in open competition or through quotas, and attach the requested documents in digital format.

Next, it is necessary to confirm the submission of the enrollment, as the process does not include a fee.

Monitoring should be done through the system itself, where the data validation and results will be published.
