With a 2.2 Turbo Diesel engine delivering 200 hp, a nine-speed automatic transmission, smart bed, premium finish, and a price below R$ 200 thousand for CNPJ, the Rampage Big Horn emerges as the most competitive entry point in the Ram lineup.

Ram gained fame in Brazil with large, luxurious pickups, but the arrival of the Rampage changed the game. Within the lineup, the Big Horn version appears as the entry-level model, yet with a package that surprises.

Even as the brand’s most affordable option, it costs less than a Fiat Toro Ranch and still delivers various features that many more expensive models do not offer.

The goal is clear: to allow more consumers to have their first “Ram” in the garage without giving up the brand’s DNA.

The Big Horn does not try to appear simple or stripped-down. On the contrary, it presents itself with a robust look and entirely LED lighting, something that is not always found in more expensive pickups.

100 Percent LED Lighting and Mixed Grille Add Personality to the Front

At the front, the Rampage Big Horn maintains the same optical assembly as the higher versions. High beams, low beams, DRL, and fog lights are all LED.

No halogen bulbs to justify a lower price. The presence of front and rear parking sensors reinforces the proposal to offer complete convenience when maneuvering, along with the rearview camera that is standard across all versions.

The look also brings differences compared to the Laramie and Rebel. While the Laramie relies on chrome and the Rebel on darkened elements, the Big Horn uses a mixed grille, combining chrome and black piano finish.

The result is an elegant, modern front with a strong Ram identity. It is surprising to see this aesthetic in the entry-level option.

2.2 Turbo Diesel Engine and Nine-Speed Automatic Transmission Without Performance Reduction

Upon opening the hood, the first question is whether the Big Horn version lost power to achieve the lower price. But the answer is immediate: it lost nothing.

It uses the same 2.2 Turbo Diesel engine as the other versions, producing 200 hp and 45.9 kgfm of torque. This means plenty of power for work, highways, and urban use.

The transmission also remains unchanged. All Rampage models use a nine-speed automatic transmission, ensuring quick responses and a smooth ride.

The setup delivers solid performance without sacrificing fuel economy. The acoustic blanket helps with insulation and keeps the cabin quiet, reinforcing the brand’s premium standard.

Price Below R$ 200 Thousand for CNPJ Changes the Game

The price announcement is one of the most impactful points: R$ 228,990 in retail. However, for those with CNPJ or rural producers, the price drops to R$ 199,990.

In practice, this makes the Big Horn the only diesel pickup in the category over 200 hp to stay below R$ 200 thousand under special conditions.

It’s a price that puts direct pressure on the Fiat Toro Ranch, which costs more and offers fewer premium features.

17-Inch Wheels, Independent Suspension, and Disc Brakes on All Four Wheels

The dynamic aspect also draws attention. The Big Horn uses 17-inch wheels and 235/65 tires, the same size as the Laramie version.

The independent suspension and the 4×4 system with low range complete the technical package. Another clear advantage is the presence of disc brakes on all four wheels, something still rare among mid-size and compact pickups in the Brazilian market.

At the rear, the bed has a capacity of 980 liters and features a dampened tailgate in the revised versions. A curious detail is the United States flag graphic on the side, reinforcing the brand’s origin without exaggeration.

Interior Surprises With Superior Finish to the Toro

Inside, the Big Horn shows where it truly impresses. Although it forgoes power-adjustable seats to keep the price competitive, it delivers a superior finish compared to rival Toro.

The doors feature soft-touch materials in important areas, something the competitor does not offer. The seats mix leather with fabric, providing comfort and durability.

In the rear, there are air conditioning vents, a strong point that the Toro does not offer in any configuration. Additionally, two conventional USB ports and two USB-C ports enhance usability for travelers.

The space is good, the backrest is comfortable, and the seat maintains a good height. For those of medium or tall stature, the rear position is comfortable, and the cabin gives the sensation of a larger vehicle.

Complete Multimedia, Wireless Charging, and 100 Percent Digital Dashboard

The multimedia system includes Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in GPS, connectivity via Ram Connect, and the ability to start the car via the app.

The dashboard is fully digital, with a modern look and touch-sensitive controls. The air conditioning is dual-zone digital and can be adjusted via both the screen and physical buttons.

The final setup shows that, despite being the cheapest version of the Rampage, it is far from basic. On the contrary, the Big Horn delivers features that some rivals only offer in much more expensive versions.

Entry-Level Version That Delivers Premium Experience

The Rampage Big Horn proves that it is possible to enter the Ram world without sacrificing performance, technology, and finish.

With a strong engine, modern transmission, full equipment, and competitive pricing, it positions itself as one of the best purchases in the segment below R$ 200 thousand for CNPJ.
