The company Ticket Log carried out an investigation and stated that gasoline prices fell by 0,13% at fuel pumps in the country, after the fall in the amounts passed on to refineries. Ethanol, on the other hand, continues to rise and is more expensive in some states.

The fuel sector data for this Monday, (19/12), according to the latest survey of the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), are quite optimistic for gasoline-consuming vehicles. This is because, after the readjustment carried out in the amounts passed on to refineries, fuel prices reached an average of R$ 5,32. Despite that, the ethanol continues to grow in the first half of December, reaching R$ 4,33.

The company Ticket Log, which makes up the Fleet and Mobility business line of Edenred Brasil, carried out the first survey in December about the situation of fuel prices in Brazil.

Thus, the company verified that, after a reduction of 6,10% in the value of gasoline in the transfer to refineries, valid since December 7th, the price of a liter of fuel showed an average decrease of 0,13% at the supply pumps from the country.

This is a big step for the benefits to the final consumer to be expanded over the next few months, after a long period of high fuel prices.

Despite this, this is still not the ideal scenario, since only the Northeast and Midwest registered a decrease for gasoline, of 0,65% and 0,64%, which closed at R$ 5,33 and R$ 5,28 .XNUMX, respectively.

The Southeast, on the other hand, had a price increase of 0,21%, but still had the lowest gasoline sales value, reaching R$ 5,14.

The most expensive liter was found in the North, at R$ 5,52 and with the most expressive increase among the regions, of 0,73%.

The data for the states are more positive, as Ticket Log found that gasoline prices dropped in about 11 states.

The lowest value of fuel was found in Bahia, reaching an average of R$ 5,44, a reduction of 4,23% in relation to the previous month.

The highest price of gasoline was in the state of Roraima, where the average at filling stations reached R$ 5,89.

While the price of a fuel drops in the first half of December, Ticket Log highlights the continued rise of ethanol and even higher values in the period

Contrary to what has been happening with gasoline, ethanol continues to rise throughout Brazil, in addition to having shown growth in prices in some states.

According to Ticket Log, the average price per liter reached R$ 4,33 in the first half of December, 0,81% more expensive when compared to November.

Breaking down by region, all registered an increase in price, with emphasis on the Midwest, where, despite having the lowest average, fuel was 1,29% more expensive and closed the period at R$ 3,99.

As for Ticket Log's analysis by state, only Bahia, Maranhão, Sergipe and Acre showed a drop in fuel prices.

Thus, Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil, highlighted: “In comparison with November, the number of states that had ethanol as the most advantageous fuel for supply decreased from three to one, with only Mato Grosso”.
