Honda launches the new NX 400 in Japan, offering an even more affordable price than the Sahara 300 in the Brazilian market.
The NX series, or “New X-over”, introduced by Honda at the end of the decade, has evolved with several engines over the years. At EICMA 2023, Honda revealed the NX500, and now, this week, it launched the NX 400 on the Japanese market. This new addition to the NX line comes to replace the 400X and position itself as an alternative to the NX500. Notably, this model hits the market at a more affordable price than the Sahara 300, emphasizing Honda's strategy of offering high-quality motorcycles at competitive prices.
New Honda motorcycle can do up to 28,1 km/l
Equipped with a 399cc twin-cylinder engine, which delivers up to 46 horsepower at 9 RPM and 38 Nm of torque at 7.500 RPM, combined with a 6-speed transmission with slip assist clutch.
Although it has a smaller engine, the new Honda NX 400 has the same design presented as the NX500 at EIMCA 2023. According to the brand, the Sahara 300's rival has an average consumption of 28,1 km/l in the WLTC cycle.

Equipped with a diamond-type structure, the Honda's new motorcycle features inverted suspension on the front axle and mono-shock (prolink) on the rear axle, it has disc brakes on both axles and selectable torque control.
The model also features full LED headlights, a 5-inch TFT instrument panel, with Bluetooth connectivity and built-in navigation. Being sold in two colors, sales of the Sahara 300 rival will start in April.
The suggested price is 891 thousand yen, equivalent to R$29.490. In addition, it measures 2.150 mm in length, 830 mm in width, 1.390 mm in height and 1435 mm in wheelbase, with 800 mm seat height, 17 L of fuel capacity, 19-inch front tire and 17-inch rear tire.

Still in terms of design, the new NX 400 has a mixed-use tire, a double disc at the front in the shape of a daisy, a fender that protects part of the cane, a twin cylinder painted in black, a double exhaust outlet and much more.
It is important to highlight that Honda's new motorcycle does not differ much from the 500-cylinder version that will arrive on the Brazilian market soon, with the same headlight, fairing and other details.
It is worth highlighting that the NX 400 gained new traction control, a 5-inch TFT panel with cell phone connection, making it a more modern motorcycle with more features. embedded technology. According to information from Honda itself, it is not yet known for sure when this model will arrive here, however, it appears that it is expected to arrive in mid-2025.

The new Honda Sahara 300 has a single-cylinder engine with a capacity of 293,5 cm³, with simple overhead control, with four valves, delivering Flex One technology, allowing the 13,8 liter tank to be filled with gasoline or ethanol. It is important to highlight that the Sahara 300 already complies with Promot 5, the most recent rule on pollutant emissions on motorcycles.
With the capacity to produce 25,2 horsepower at 7.500 RPM, when fueled with ethanol, the new Sahara 300's engine has good performance for hitting the road.
However, it is the torque at low rpm, which reaches a maximum of 2,74 kgfm at 5.750 rpm, reduced by the SOHC engine, that provides a more consistent throttle response precisely in the most frequently used rpm range.
