IF Sudeste MG made available 4.600 vacancies for the first half of 2025, covering different areas of knowledge.
Options include courses in the areas of nursing, occupational safety, information technology, agriculture, administration and nutrition, Among others.
The opportunities are distributed in 10 mining cities, including Barbacena, Juiz de Fora and São João Del Rei.
Opportunities for all levels of education
According to the notice, the vacancies include technical, undergraduate and postgraduate courses, being offered both in person and remotely.
The cities covered by the selection process are Barbacena, Bom Sucesso, Cataguases, Juiz de Fora, Manhuaçu, Muriaé, Rio Pomba, Santos Dumont, São João Del Rei and Ubá.
In Barbacena, three new courses will be offered, expanding the options for candidates: technical course in food, technical course in events and technical course in agriculture in the distance learning modality.
In addition, there are already established courses, such as computer science and nursing, totaling more than 600 vacancies available in this municipality alone.
Registration Deadline and Fees
For those who want to secure a place, it is necessary to be aware of the deadlines. Registration begins in October 24 and will run until November 17, 2024, which can be done online through the official website of IF Sudeste MG.
In addition, there is the option of in-person registration at the campuses, according to the times described in the notice.
Fees vary depending on the type of course. For integrated technical courses, where high school is combined with technical school, the registration fee is R$ 25.
The concurrent or subsequent technical courses have a rate of R$ 15. For the courses of undergraduate and graduate, the cost is R$ 50.
Payment must be made by November 18th, 2024, exclusively at Banco do Brasil branches or correspondents.
Fee exemption: who is eligible?
If you meet certain requirements, you may be able to request a waiver of the application fee. Applicants may request a exemption between the days 24 31 and October, directly through the selection process website.
But be careful, it will be necessary to prove the condition through documents, such as academic records or a statement issued by the school.
Candidates who can apply for exemption include those who:
- Completed elementary education in public schools (for integrated technical courses);
- Completed high school education in public institutions (undergraduate and postgraduate);
- They were full scholarship holders at private or philanthropic schools;
- Completed high school via Encceja or state exams.
How will the selection be?
According to the notice, the selection of candidates varies depending on the chosen course.
For concurrent and subsequent technical courses, the formation of classes will be defined by raffle, scheduled for the day 16 January 2025.
For the integrated technical courses, candidates will make a test on December 22, 2024 with 45 multiple choice questions covering subjects such as Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Geography and History.
Who is applying for the vacancies of University graduate will also have to take a test on December 22, which will include 45 objective questions and an essay.
The criteria for the courses graduate, both lato sensu and stricto sensu, depend on each program, as specified in the notice.
New courses in Barbacena: highlighted in the selection process
Barbacena stands out in this edition of selective process with the inclusion of three new technical courses.
The areas of food, events and agriculture will become part of the range of options for those seeking professional qualifications.
