Hyundai Creta Is The Best-Selling Car In The Brazilian Retail Market For The Third Consecutive Year, With 58,560 Units In 2025 And Expanded Leadership In The Compact SUV Segment.
The Hyundai Creta not only leads the compact SUV category in Brazil. It is the best-selling car in the country in retail, meaning it considers only direct sales to final consumers at dealerships, excluding fleets and rental companies. It has achieved this feat for three consecutive years: 2023, 2024, and 2025. It is the first SUV in history to reach this position. In 2025, the Creta registered 58,560 units in retail, a growth of 4.2% compared to the 56,081 in 2024. The advantage over the second place more than doubled: from 4,830 units in 2024 to 10,140 in 2025. This represents 77% of the total sold volume of the model, with only 23% going to fleets. The majority of competitors have over 40% of direct sales to companies.
The complete redesign launched in October 2024 was decisive to consolidate this leadership. It changed everything: exterior and interior design, engine options, technology, safety. The Creta has moved from being merely competitive to becoming the undisputed reference in the segment.
Redesigned Design: Goodbye Controversial Look
The previous generation of the Creta had a controversial design that divided opinions. An overly aggressive front grille, exaggerated creases, strange proportions. The 2025/2027 redesign corrected all this by adopting a more traditional and sophisticated language inspired by the Tucson.

Ducati brings to Brazil the Superleggera V4 Centenario: 228 hp that become 247 with a track kit, carbon fiber and carbon-ceramic brakes, estimated price between R$ 1.5 and 2 million, deliveries only in 2027.
The front has gained a prominent grille with chrome “H” details. Slimmer and horizontally aligned LED headlights. Redesigned bumper with larger air intakes. Elevated and creased hood. The look is robust without being aggressive, modern without being overly futuristic.
The sides were smoothed, maintaining a balance between robustness and elegance. Less pronounced side creases. Redesigned alloy wheels. Chrome door handles. The overall design conveys solidity without excessive visual weight.
The rear features completely new light signatures connected by a black trim. Two-tone bumper. Integrated exhaust outlet. A clean contemporary look that has abandoned the excesses of the previous generation.
Interior: 10.25-Inch Panoramic Display
Inside, the transformation was equally profound. The highlight is a panoramic display that combines a digital instrument panel and multimedia center into a single 10.25-inch unit. It’s a modern visual solution that eliminates physical buttons and creates a tech cockpit.
The configurable digital panel shows speedometer, tachometer, driving assistants, navigation, fuel consumption, everything customizable. The multimedia system runs Hyundai’s own software with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, voice control, and complete smartphone integration.
Materials have increased in quality. Soft-touch plastics in frequently contacted areas. Two-tone finish in higher versions. Visible stitching on the seats. Discreet chrome details. Leather-wrapped steering wheel with integrated multifunction controls.
The digital air conditioning maintains precise temperature. Wireless charger for mobile devices. Multiple USB ports. The Bluelink connectivity system allows remote vehicle control via an app: locking, location, alerts, 24-hour assistance. Free service for five years.
Internal space remains generous. Five adult occupants travel comfortably. The 422-liter trunk is one of the largest in the category. Rear seats recline. Multiple storage compartments distributed throughout the cabin.
Two Engines: 1.0 Turbo And 1.6 Turbo
The 2026 Creta offers two distinct engine options. The 1.0 turbo GDI three-cylinder flex develops 120 hp with ethanol and 115 hp with gasoline. Torque of 17.5 kgfm. Always paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.
This engine equips four of the five versions: Comfort Safety, Limited, Platinum, and N Line. It is an engine suitable for daily urban use. It delivers good response at low revs thanks to the turbo. Reasonable consumption ranges from 10-11 km/l in mixed usage.
The top-of-the-line Ultimate version brings a completely different engine. It is the 1.6 turbo GDI four-cylinder gasoline engine with 193 hp and 27 kgfm of torque. It is the most powerful engine among all compact SUVs in Brazil. The transmission is a DCT seven-speed dual-clutch automated.
The performance figures are impressive. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds. Top speed of 210 km/h. It’s the performance of a premium mid-size SUV costing the price of a compact. Official consumption: 11.9 km/l city / 13.5 km/l highway.
This Ultimate version doubled its sales after the arrival of the 1.6 engine. Previously, it accounted for 8% of the Creta’s volume. Today, it represents 14% of sales. Brazilian customers value power and are willing to pay more for it.
Safety: Complete SmartSense
Safety has made a giant leap. All versions now come with six airbags as standard: front, side, and curtain. Electronic stability and traction controls. Hill start assist. Rear camera. Parking sensors.
But the differential is in the Hyundai SmartSense package present in the higher versions. It includes automatic emergency braking with detection of pedestrians and cyclists. Front collision warning. Lane keeping assist. Adaptive cruise control. Blind spot warning. Rear cross-traffic alert. Automatic high beam switching.
These are Level 2 semi-autonomous systems that keep the car centered in the lane, adjust speed according to traffic, and brake automatically in emergencies. A 360° camera in the top versions facilitates maneuvers. It’s a safety package worthy of premium SUVs.
Five Versions: R$ 151 Thousand To R$ 190 Thousand

Why It Leads By A Wide Margin
The secret is no mystery. The Creta offers more car for less money than any direct competitor.
Compare: Honda HR-V starts at R$ 198 thousand. Jeep Compass at R$ 249 thousand. Volkswagen Taos at R$ 229 thousand. Toyota Corolla Cross at R$ 194 thousand.
The Creta starts at R$ 151 thousand, already well-equipped with six airbags and decent technology. The mid-range versions between R$ 160-180 thousand deliver a competitive package. Only the Ultimate at R$ 189 thousand competes with rival prices, but offers a more powerful engine than all.
Construction quality has improved significantly. The interior finish is superior. Reliable mechanics with a five-year warranty. Resale value is high. Maintenance costs are controlled. Extensive dealer network. It is a complete equation of unbeatable cost-benefit.
