The Construction Of The New Solar Panel Factory For Sustainable Energy In Minas Gerais Could Generate Up To 700 Direct And Indirect Jobs

An official mission from the Government of Minas Gerais in Italy revealed that two Italian companies have plans to build a solar panel factory for sustainable energy generation in the state of Minas Gerais with the potential to create more than a thousand jobs. The company interested in building the factory is F2B, which already has factories in the state and, with the new factory, expects to generate up to 700 direct and indirect jobs throughout the entire production and installation chain.

According to Orestes Gonçalo Júnior, a representative of F2B, several companies in Minas Gerais have already shown interest in acquiring F2B products. Solar energy has been expanding in the state due to its versatility, being a source of energy that can be implemented in various areas. With the installation of the factory, the expectation is that approximately 80 employees will be hired initially, with the possibility of expansion to up to 700 jobs, with the training of professionals throughout the state.

Investments In Sustainable Energy By Prysmian Group In Poços De Caldas

Another Italian company, Prysmian Group, specialized in the manufacturing of cables and systems for energy and telecommunications, is planning to expand its unit in Poços de Caldas. The company has already invested over R$ 120 million in recent years in the unit, which will soon have around 600 employees. Prysmian Group is considering investing even more in expansions, in part due to the R$ 42.2 billion investment from Cemig, until 2027, in the modernization and expansion of the state’s electrical grid.

Reynaldo Passanezi, president of the energy company Cemig, emphasized that these investments can open significant opportunities in Minas Gerais. Cemig is conducting one of the largest sustainable energy investment programs in the company’s history, including the construction of 30,000 kilometers of three-phase network, the installation of 1.5 million smart meters, and 450,000 posts. These initiatives not only modernized the state’s electrical infrastructure, but will also provide opportunities for companies wishing to produce in Minas Gerais.

For Governor Romeu Zema, attracting new technologies in the energy sector can further boost the growth of Minas Gerais in its already prominent national position. He highlighted the importance of F2B in developing innovative technologies for high-voltage cable coating with resin, making them more efficient in energy transmission. Furthermore, the production of floating panels in Minas Gerais will allow the state to meet the demand for this equipment nationwide, benefiting not only investors but also local residents.
