Credit Cooperative Based in Blumenau Confirms Layoffs After Internal Restructuring Linked to Strategic Priorities and Activity Review. Measure Involves Approximately 60 Professionals and Integrates Adjustments to the Ailos System.

The Ailos Central, based in Blumenau (SC), confirmed the dismissal of approximately 60 professionals.

The cooperative stated that the measure is part of a “strategic redirection” aligned with business priorities and the evolution of Ailos System activities.

The layoffs, according to the institution, occurred at the beginning of the month.

The decision was associated with the discontinuation of some work fronts and the need to adapt the internal structure to the current market demands.

Rumors about cuts had been circulating in the city throughout February.

Contacted by the report from ND Mais, Ailos Central confirmed the reduction in staff and detailed, through a statement, the reasons provided for the change.

Ailos Central Details Strategic Redirection and Staff Cuts

In the statement sent to the press, the cooperative declared that the redirection involved the review of activities considered non-priority for the upcoming operational cycles.

According to the note, the adjustment resulted in the dismissal of around 60 employees.

The institution stated that the process was conducted “responsibly, with respect for the individuals involved and in compliance with labor legislation.”

It also informed that it provided support to the professionals during the transition.

Also according to Ailos Central, the aim of the restructuring is to maintain the sustainability, continuity, and solidity of the Ailos System.

The cooperative did not attribute the layoffs to financial difficulties or interruptions in operations.

There were no details on which sectors were impacted or the current number of employees.

Without this data, it is not possible to assess what percentage of the total workforce was affected by the measure.

Ailos System and the Cooperative’s Operations in Blumenau

Ailos Central serves as the central cooperative of the Ailos System and provides services to 13 affiliated credit cooperatives.

The structure also includes an insurance brokerage, according to institutional information disclosed by the system itself.

Among the responsibilities of the central office are operational, technological, and administrative support to the associated cooperatives.

Internal changes, therefore, may involve reorganization of processes and redistribution of activities, although the institution has not specified which areas underwent adjustments.

Data published by the Ailos System indicate that the group consists of more than 1.7 million cooperative members and assets exceeding R$ 28 billion.

Its operations focus on the Southern Region and part of the Southeast, with a network of service points across different municipalities.

Local Impact and Points Still Lacking Detail

Blumenau hosts the administrative headquarters of Ailos Central and houses a significant portion of the system’s operations.

In cities with a strong presence of credit cooperativism, changes in the workforce usually create repercussions among workers and cooperative members.

Despite the confirmation of the layoffs, the cooperative did not inform whether the restructuring affects deadlines for internal projects or the provision of services to the affiliated cooperatives.

It also did not clarify whether there will be new hires or reallocations to restore teams.

Another point that remains unspecified concerns the type of support offered to the dismissed workers.

The note mentions support during the transition but does not specify whether there were relocation programs or additional benefits beyond what is required by law.

The official confirmation ends the speculation about the existence of the cuts but leaves open information regarding the practical extent of the announced strategic redirection.
