Minister of Infrastructure gave approval for the start of construction work on the bridge over the Araguaia River and the Urban Crossing of Formosa, in Goiás

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, signed the service order for the start of construction work on two undertakings: the bridge over the Araguaia River, on the BR-080/GO, close to the municipality of Luiz Alves, and the Travessia Urbana de Formosa, on BR-020/GO, in the state of Goiás.

The service order was signed by the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcísio Gomes Freitas, during a virtual event this Friday (24/07), with the participation of the director general of the National Department of Transport Infrastructure (DNIT), General Santos Filho, Governor Ronaldo Caiado and parliamentarians.

With the investments made in these works, it is expected to achieve road excellence in Goiás and make logistics and transport more effective in that state.

In this pandemic period, in addition to the works already delivered, new works are being carried out by the government, which has already employed around 2 workers.

The Federal Government also published yesterday, in the Official Journal of the Union, the endorsement granted by the Minister of Economy Paulo Guedes that authorizes the resumption of the construction works of the Angra 3 Thermonuclear Plant, paralyzed since 2015.

The resolution signed by Guedes suggests that the plant's construction plan continue with the coordination of a new Interministerial Committee made up of the Ministry of Economy, the Institutional Security Office (GSI) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy. The act establishes a period of 180 days – extendable for an equal period from August 7, 2020 – for carrying out new committee work.
