Petrobras (PETR4) received US$ 298 million for the sale of the Carmópolis Complex, Sergipe, from a Cobra affiliate.

Petrobras reported obtaining US$298 million this Wednesday, referring to the last installment of the sale of the Carmópolis Complex, in Sergipe, as reported in a document sent to the market. On December 26, the company had reported non-payment of the installment. The affiliate of the Spanish group Cobra, Carmo Energy, acquired the complex in 2021 in an operation totaling US$1,1 billion.

The Carmópolis Hub is made up of 11 onshore production concessions and includes access to infrastructure for processing, flow, storage and transportation of oil and natural gas. Furthermore, the asset includes the Atalaia Hub, which has the Aracaju Waterway Terminal (Tecarmo) and the Bonsucesso-Atalaia pipeline, responsible for transporting oil production from Carmópolis to Tecarmo. Petrobras (PETR4) continues to act strategically to optimize its operations.
