New Renault Oroch Pickup Expected to Hit the Market in 2027 Has Details Revealed. Check Out the Prediction of What the Renault Pickup Equipped with a Hybrid Engine of 170 Horsepower Would Be Like.
As a pioneer in the medium-compact pickup market in Brazil, the Renault Oroch has been on the market since 2025 and underwent a design update in 2022. However, with the renewal of the Duster SUV in Europe, all indications suggest that the Renault pickup will also be transformed, using the Niagara concept pickup presented in 2023 as a reference.

The new Renault vehicle is expected to arrive in the national market by 2027, and while that doesn’t happen, new projections speculate how the future Renault pickup will look. The Russian site Kolesa developed an image that allows one to imagine the future of the Renault Oroch Pickup, taking elements from the third generation of the SUV presented at the end of last year.
Much of the SUV’s front end is utilized, as well as the new visual identity of the Y-shaped LED headlights. On the side, the plastic black trims that outline the wheel arches, and the camouflage door handles on the C pillar of the Renault pickup draw attention.

However, there are chances that the model will have its own distinctive characteristics, diverging a bit from the projection made using the current Duster. Such a feature has already occurred with another model from the brand: the recently launched Kardian, which despite having some elements borrowed from the European Dacia Stepway, features unique details exclusive to the model produced here. Nevertheless, the idea of a new name for the Renault Oroch pickup is not ruled out.
Renault Pickup Will Use the Same Platform as the Duster
The model will be larger (likely featuring the same 4.90 meters in length and 2.95 meters in wheelbase as the concept) and will migrate to CMF-B. To give you an idea, the Toro, Renault’s main rival, measures 4.91 m in length and 2.99 m in wheelbase, while the current Renault Oroch measures 4.72 m and 2.82 m, respectively.
The new platform promises to change how the utility behaves dynamically. Additionally, it is expected to be safer, as it leaves behind the platform borrowed from the Logan and Sandero, which dates back to the 2000s.
Regarding the engine, the 1.3 turbo unit with 170 horsepower is expected to appear under the hood, certainly along with a hybrid version. Due to the new base, the upcoming Renault Oroch pickup may feature hybrid versions in its lineup. In the Niagara, Renault indicated the path to be followed by equipping the prototype with E-Tech Hybrid 4×4 technology. The system, with dual technical adjustment, utilizes a combustion engine with a mild hybrid system of 48 volts at the front and an additional electric motor at the rear.
Renault Duster 2024 Arrives with Renewed Design
In January, the Renault Duster 2024 was finally officially announced by the French manufacturer. It is a facelift of the compact SUV, featuring a light design change but more equipment, such as six airbags as standard. This is a way to keep the car relevant before the Kardian arrives, which is expected in March, ensuring it doesn’t become too outdated compared to the smaller model.
The Renault Duster will be sold in four configurations: Intense Plus 1.6 manual and CVT, Iconic Plus 1.6 CVT, and Iconic Plus 1.3 turbo. Although it used the name Duster Plus in the material sent to dealerships, the SUV will not actually adopt that surname, reserving it for the version names. The design features a modification in the LED headlights, utilizing two lines forming an “inverted Y” to divide the optical assembly.
