National Initiative Expands Access to Free Professional Training Focused on Industrial Practice, Partnerships with Companies, and Diversity of Technical Areas, Reaching All States and the Federal District in the First Semester of 2026.

The National Service for Industrial Training (SENAI) announced the offer of 40.2 thousand free slots for young apprentices in all states and the Federal District in the first semester of 2026, in partnership with industries.

The proposal is to combine training and practical experience in productive environments, increasing the chances of insertion into the formal labor market.

The opportunities cover different profiles and sectors, with courses related to both factory routines and the industrial services area.

Among the options are paths focused on industrial automation, programming, construction, logistics, electricity, and food areas, such as baking and confectionery, as well as specific segments like mining and automotive maintenance.

Technical Training with Practical Classes and Focus on the Job Market

The model released by SENAI anticipates classes with methodologies focused on practice, using laboratories, simulated environments, and teaching structures applied to common tasks of industrial daily life.

In practice, the student undergoes training aligned with the demands of partner companies, which participate in the offer of slots.

As this is a learning program, classes are mainly directed at young people at the age of starting their professional lives.

In general, programs of this type usually cater to the audience between 14 and 24 years old, with variations depending on local requirements and criteria of the course, the SENAI unit, and the participating company.

Still, each state can adopt its own selection timelines and steps, as well as rules regarding documentation, minimum education, and exams, when applicable.

For this reason, SENAI advises candidates to consult the regional department of their state to confirm schedules, requirements, and registration methods.

Areas with the Highest Number of Slots and Diversity of Courses

There are slots for those who want to start in occupations related to the industrial base, such as welding, mechanics, electromechanics, and electricity, as well as for paths that align with the technological advancement of companies, such as web programming and systems development.

In some states, options emerge with well-defined cuts, such as port logistics, telecommunications, metallurgical processes, and equipment operation.

Another relevant block involves construction and buildings, with training aimed at works, quality, site activities, and technical drawing.

At the same time, courses from the food chain appear in different regions, with slots in baking and in profiles like baker-confectioner, usually associated with productive routines and standard control.

In the digital field, in addition to programming courses, there are mentions of computer networks, data analysis, and integrated solutions with information technology.

These are trainings that tend to connect with support and operation areas, such as quality control, logistics, technical drawing, and maintenance, composing a menu that blends the factory floor with technological services.

Distribution of the 40.2 Thousand Slots by State

The distribution of slots shows strong concentration in some states.

Rio Grande do Sul appears with 9,068 opportunities, in courses that include systems development, internet computing, telecommunications, administration, and trainings focused on the automotive and plastics industries.

Minas Gerais follows with 8,630 slots.

Among the cited options are industrial automation, aerial distribution networks, baking, confectionery, digital design, diesel mechanics, and assistance in web programming, as well as areas related to textile processes and printing.

In the South, Paraná has 6,049 slots and includes courses such as web programmer, electronic equipment assembler, quality inspector, masonry bricklayer, and administrative assistant.

Santa Catarina totals 3,205 slots, with opportunities ranging from industrial mechanic and building official to fashion product designer and technician in cybersystems for automation.

Rio de Janeiro has 5,356 slots, with courses related to construction, machining, and instrumentation, as well as training associated with information technology and specific functions such as railway operator and camera operator.

In São Paulo, there are 3,649 slots, highlighting areas such as welding, administration, and occupations related to industrial and graphic production, in addition to machining with an aerospace focus.

Northeast, North, and Midwest Also Concentrate Opportunities

In the Northeast, the distribution is also noteworthy.

Ceará has 2,578 slots, covering, among other areas, computer networks and logistics processes.

Bahia has 2,565 slots, including trainings that mention data analysis, industrial electricity, and clothing and footwear sectors.

Pernambuco totals 1,745 slots and mentions full stack programming, in addition to industrial electrician and machine maintenance.

Other states present intermediate volumes and a variety of areas.

Goiás has 1,994 slots, with courses related to vehicles, heavy machinery, and quality.

Pará reaches 1,923 slots, with options that include logistics, buildings, and diesel mechanics.

In Mato Grosso, there are 1,753 slots with paths in agribusiness, biofuel, mining, and workplace safety.

Alagoas has 1,611 slots and brings together courses in production, welding, and sugar-energy sectors.

There are also states with smaller quantities but well-defined focus areas.

In Maranhão, there are 629 slots, including distribution network electrician, metallurgical process operator, and baker-confectioner.

In Acre, 615 slots include mentions of buildings, industrial management, digital games, and full stack programming.

The Federal District appears with 503 slots, in areas such as quality control and graphic design.

In the North, Amapá totals 730 slots with options such as mechanical technical draftsman and conventional machining mechanic.

Amazonas has 820 slots, including building maintenance and industrial machinery maintenance mechanic.

Rondônia registers 420 slots, with courses that include automotive electrician and baker-confectioner.

Roraima has 265 slots with trainings such as computer operator and building assistant.

Some cases stand out by contrast.

Piauí has 125 slots, concentrating opportunities in logistics, construction, buildings, and clothing.

Tocantins, on the other hand, registers 4,290 slots, with trainings linked to production line, computer operation, and industrial production processes.

It is also important to verify whether the slot is intended for candidates referred by partner companies or if there are opportunities open to the community, as this rule may change according to the type of learning and the regional arrangement.
