The 10,000 mAh 25W Fast Charging portable charger from Samsung has begun to be mentioned in complaints from consumers reporting failures after only a few months of use, followed by complete loss of functionality.

In various accounts, one point appears repeatedly: when seeking support, customers say they receive denial of repair or replacement, justified by the claim that the warranty period has ended and accessories cannot be repaired.

The complaints are focused on a model marketed as a 10,000 mAh external battery with fast charging of up to 25W, equipped with two USB-C ports to recharge devices and also the battery itself.

The recurrence of these reports, published on sales pages and comment sections, has led consumers to question the durability of the product and the assistance period offered after purchase.

Reports Point to Charging Failures and Loss of Functionality

According to consumers, the problems tend to start with instability during everyday use.

There are descriptions of situations where the battery starts to indicate incorrect charge, fails to initiate charging, or loses the ability to hold energy.

As the problem progresses, some users claim that the accessory stops functioning entirely.

Among the reported cases is that of Canaltech’s editor, Bruno de Blasi, who reported purchasing the power bank in April and experiencing failures starting in July.

In his account, he describes that the device started to display zero charge unexpectedly and exhibited unusual behavior when connected to a smartphone.

“I bought that Samsung power bank of 10,000 mAh in April.
It worked until July.
Three months after the purchase, it started to show zero charge out of nowhere.
(…)
It also has a bizarre behavior of trying to draw power from the phone whenever I connect it to an Android or iPhone, and it only shows signs of life when I hold the button for a few seconds and plug it into the wall (but turns off shortly after).”

He goes on to state that he attempted to contact technical support but did not receive a solution for the problem.

“Samsung responded to my inquiry a week later and said they will not do anything, justifying that the 3-month warranty expired and that accessories cannot be repaired.”

Warranty Period for Accessories Concentrates Some Complaints

The reports indicate that dissatisfaction is not limited to the defect presented by the product.

For many consumers, the central issue lies in the discrepancy between expected lifespan and the assistance received when the problem arises outside the warranty period.

According to the information available on Samsung’s warranty page in Brazil, accessories purchased separately have a 3-month warranty.

Other product categories from the brand, such as smartphones and wearables, have longer warranty periods of 12 months.

This cut is cited by consumers as the justification presented by the company for refusing replacement or repair when the defect arises after the warranty period ends.

In online comments, users state that when seeking support, they were informed there would be no possibility of repair for the accessory.

In these reports, the alternative presented was to purchase a new product.

Reviews on Online Stores Cite Failures in Up to Six Months

Complaints also appear in reviews left by customers on product pages of the portable charger.

In various comments, consumers report occasional use of the accessory and still experience operational failures after a few months.

One of the accounts summarizes the experience directly.

“Stopped working after 6 months of very little use.
Very bad.”

Another comment follows the same line.

“Stopped working after 6 months of use.
Ridiculous.”

There are also more detailed reviews, in which users describe limitations of the product and changes in behavior over time.

One customer reports having bought the charger on sale and asserts that he used it very little.

According to him, the accessory has two ports but comes with a cable considered short, which influenced the way it was used.

This same user mentions that the power bank takes several hours to charge.

He also notes that the performance advertised as “fast charging” did not match the observed experience.

In a review attributed to a consumer identified as Gisele, the text states that the purchase took place in June 2025 and that the device stopped functioning in October of the same year.

According to the account, when seeking support, she was informed about the three-month warranty applied to this type of product.

Another comment, signed as Júnior, claims that the charger worked normally for about five months.

After that, according to the user, the accessory started making noise and “drawing power” from the phone instead of charging it.

He reports that when seeking technical assistance, he was informed that the warranty had expired and there would be no repair alternative.

Samsung Did Not Respond Until Closing

Canaltech reported that it sought Samsung to request a position regarding the complaints involving the 10,000 mAh 25W Fast Charging model.

Until the closure of the material, according to the site, there was no response from the company. Meanwhile, new comments continue to be published on product pages and review spaces.

Consumers describe similar experiences and point out failures occurring after only a few months of use. The reports reinforce the debate about the relationship between expected operating time and assistance period offered for accessories sold separately.

With the repercussion of the issue in digital environments, the discussion remains among consumers about how the company should handle cases where defects arise shortly after the warranty expires.
